@Dudu_Okwuosa @HonitelHQ Tinubu wants to take your breath away 😂
English

Let me put it in perspective if you still don’t know how ridiculously bad and incompetent this government is;
The five naira note is useless.
The 10 naira note is useless.
The 20 naira note is worthless.
The 50 naira note can only buy a sachet of water and gum.
N100? Three sachets of water.
N200 can’t buy one egg.
How about the highest naira denomination?
N1,000 cannot buy bread.
N1,000 cannot buy sardines.
N1,000 cannot buy a liter of fuel.
N1,000 cannot buy a liter of juice.
N1,000 cannot buy a plate of street food.
So, for a poor Nigerian to be able to feed at least 2x a day, they’ll spend between 3-7k (note: I’m talking about poor Nigerians here). Let’s assume they spend 4k per day on food. 4,000 × 30 = 120,000 monthly.
Where do you think they’ll be able to see that kind of money, only for food?
Tinubu must go, and it shall never be well with all of you supporting this government. You’ll ask God for peace and prosperity, and He will forsake you. 🙏🏾

bieber almost certainly didn't make this purchase decision alone. there was a manager, a crypto advisor, probably a paid promoter who told him this was a smart move. the celebrity NFT pipeline in 2021-2022 was structured specifically to use famous buyers as exit liquidity for early holders. bieber paid $1.3M, the seller walked away with $1.3M, and the "asset" immediately began its journey to $12K.
he wasn't collecting art. he was providing a cash out for someone who needed a famous buyer to validate the price

@remoteOlaide @omoalhajaabiola I am sorry, nothing is well here o. Pained me personally 😞.
English

@omoalhajaabiola This is what make me lose position at Nestlé. Immediately seeing the headline, I throught it was an automatic email and ignored it , 3 months after I discorvered that I was actually granting a meeting.
$10.000 monthly salary.
All is well. Alhamdulilah

My landlady did not leave the key to the basement. The previous tenant, whom I know, claimed they also never had access to it even though they lived in the house for 3+ years before moving to theirs.
Recently, there was an issue that needs to be fixed and this woman eventually sent the key to the basement just in case the handyman needs to access it.
She asked that I open it just to know which key works for it out of the bunch. After several attempts tying to open the door with different keys, one of the keys eventually turned but still, the door wouldn’t move as it was stuck. Tried pushing it gently, no bulge. Applied a little bit of force, still nothing. At some point, I thought just maybe something was behind the door, so I pushed it so hard that it flung open, hit the wall behind it and the glass broke instantly. Gbese 🙆🏾♂️
I was so pissed.
Decided to tell this woman the truth with all of these explanation and she clearly say “You’d have to fix it. The door only needed a gentle push”
Now, I’d have to spend an unplanned £200 - £300 on a stupid door to a basement I’ve never used before. 😭😭😭
To think this is my brother’s job in Nigeria but I’ve got no single DIY clue. 😭😭😭

@Omolara_I @sheni_coker Share your location abeg! So they still sell beef of less than 2k! Amazing!
English

@sheni_coker Have you seen the price of meat and the quantity? I bought 7 tiny pieces yesterday for ₦1,500

English

@frmarcellinus Thank you for this Padre.
Yesterday during the Stations of the Cross, for the first time I understood deeply the sin of Judas- the sin of despair - even though I have been praying the Stations of the Cross for decades!

1. Good afternoon my people. How you dey? Today is quiet sha. Normal Holy Saturday vibes. Lemme gist you about what will take place in church this evening. It's very interesting: the Easter vigil. It is called the Mother of All Vigils. The mass long but you no go feel am at all. The experience is heavenly.
2. The night begins with the Service of Light. The church starts in total darkness to represent the world without Christ. Outside, there's a bon fire 🔥. The priest blesses it and lights the Paschal Candle, which represents Jesus, the Light of the World. You can buy a candle stick at the parish bookshop or so.
3. Everyone processes into the dark church. Fada go chant, "Lumen Christi," your response go be "Deo Gratias." The light from the Paschal Candle is shared with the small candles held by the congregation until the whole room is glowing. Then the Exsultet is chanted ❤️.
4. Next is the Liturgy of the Word. There are usually seven (7) Old Testament readings with their Responsorial Psalms and prayers (some parishes might shorten it to three). Person ask me if I go shorten my own. I laugh 😆.
5. After the final Old Testament reading, the bells ring, the keyboard and musical instruments roar back to life, and the "Gloria" is sung. This is the official "The wait is over" moment. Then the New Testament reading from Romans 6 is taken, it comes with a Responsorial Psalm. The Alleluia is sung for the first time since before Lent, and the priest reads the Gospel account of the empty tomb.
6. Baptism: We ask all the saints in heaven to pray for those about to be baptized (The Litany of Saints). People who have been preparing for months (Catechumens) are baptized. Everyone else stands up and renews their own baptismal vows. The priest usually walks around and sprinkles the whole crowd with holy water.
7. From here, the mass flows as normal, but with a lot more joy.
The newly initiated members receive their First Communion. The service ends with a big blessing. The "Alleluia" is added to the final dismissal. And everyone goes to their papa house with joy 😊.
8. Now you're ready smile.

@seanelhadji @afrisagacity It is crazy!!! I am one of the few women without a wig. I don't even understand the hype and craze for it when I have my own natural hair.
English

I will NEVER find wigs admirable! The way black women have been conditioned to see wigs as a basic commodity that completes their beauty needs to be critically studied. Its now even a status symbol for many ladies, they brag about how expensive the wigs cost!
This insecurity has opened up almost a $8billion industry for the asians to milk from! Crazy!😁🤣

Now he’s returned looking sick and pale, turned out he has kidney failure.
But no one is willing to help him 😩

Don't let your personal life be like Nigeria
Any money you make when the going is good,
Delay gratification,
Save a chunk,
Invest it and deploy it for growth
- Stop buying gadgets you don't need
- You have a laptop & phone. you don't need a tab
- You live alone, you don't need a 2 bedroom
- You have enough clothes. stop buying more
- You don't need that PS5, you won't have time to play it
- Start your content creation with a phone. you don't need all those lights and gadgets. the gadget won't help you. your grit is what will help you
- Cook your food. Once in a while fine dining is cool. but cook 99% of what you eat
When Nigeria experienced the biggest oil boom and revenue growth, our population was almost 50% smaller, it was easier to develop Nigeria then to be anything great
But the politicians refused to delay gratification, they married new wives, drank wine, partied, bought houses, etc
Today our population is twice, infrastructure need is double and all the monies we made

@FrEvaristus I needed to hear this. My grandma swears by this devotion and it helped me get into the university years ago.
English

Let me share how our Mother of Perpetual Help helped my ministry.
Even as a priest, there were devotions popular with lay people which I didn’t care about. One of them was the Mother of Perpetual Help.
In December 2024, my bishop informed me that a team was coming from Enugu to promote the devotion in the Archdiocese and he had designated my parish as one of the host parishes. I thanked him and gave it no further thought.
In the second week of January 2025, two priests arrived on a Sunday evening and introduced the devotion. I had to be there to welcome them and introduce them to the parishioners. They were to stay for a week and would celebrate all the Masses. It meant a kind of break for me.
These priests were really devoted. From the morning Mass, they would stay in the church attending to parishioners till about 11 a.m. before breaking their fast. Then in the evening they would hold a session in church from 6 p.m. till about 10 p.m. Meanwhile, the icon was on display throughout the day.
At that time, I was preparing for the ordination of two priests. In my diocese, it is the parish of domicile that prepares for the ordination of the priests. This entails getting the complete vestments for the priests, transport for pastoral activities, as well as catering for the guests on the day of ordination. I had just had an ordination six months earlier and now I was faced with a double ordination less than five months away. By this time, a Corolla car had gone up to 8 million naira and we would need 16 million naira just for vehicles. I needed a miracle.
In December I had written to a particular governor to seek his assistance. I managed to get the governor’s number and had started sending him messages. He never replied. I tried calling several times. He never picked. This wasn’t unexpected because we had never met physically nor been introduced. I didn’t even know anyone who knew him. He didn’t know me either. I wrote to him because I learnt he was kind to priests.
So I went to the church and wrote a petition to our Mother of Perpetual Help, lit a candle before the icon and made an offering. I did that for two days during the afternoon when the church was quiet. My petition? That the governor would pick my call.
So the evening of the third day, I tried the governor’s number and this time he picked my call. I introduced myself and asked for his support. I told him I had couriered a letter to him early December. He said it wasn’t brought to his attention and that I should forward it to his WhatsApp. I wasn’t in the parish when I made the call so I had to rush back, retype the letter and send it to him. I called him again to draw attention to the fact that I had sent the letter and he picked and promised to do something soon. The next week his office got in touch with me and transferred 10 million to the parish account and asked me to send a receipt. I immediately transferred the money to a car dealer, and we were able to raise the balance to get two vehicles.
Since then I have taken the devotion seriously, especially when I need something😊.
It is amazing how Our Lady’s intercession works for us. Just as the Lord Jesus listened to her at that marriage feast of Cana, He continues to grant her requests.

English

@Nigeryan09 @oluwalanre2 @AnyanwuMalachy Does that also justify sending that much message at midnight, after work hours?
There is no excuse for bad behaviour and reviewing salary under two weeks is not excusable. His probation was three months for starters.
English

@oluwalanre2 @AnyanwuMalachy This is an ignorant statement at best.
Bold of you to underrate how people can twist or narrate a situation to make themselves sound as the victim.
Now, I'm not saying the guy twisted the narrative, but I'm saying I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the other person too.
English

When I took up a job to manage a big bottle water factory owned by a husband &wife but managed by the wife directly. I felt it was going to be an easy take off based on my experience in the bottle water field.
Though, I was initially advised that she had some toxic approach when it comes to the business environment, but I ignored it because she was a pastor in one of the big churches.
Hence, I felt those around here were probably overeating because she seems so calm and polite from afar.
2 weeks into the job, I saw hell, this woman drops 14 WhatsApp messages for you by 12.am, literally complains about everything.
Someone is barely 2 weeks into the job you guys had an agreement, you're already reviewing his salary? I was placed on 3 months probation when I was offered the job, but in 2 weeks, hell was already breaking loose.
I just had to walk away.
Even before these messages, there were lots of triggering messages she dropped.

Sir David Onyemaizu🦍@SirDavidBent
How fast did you quit that job you thought you could easily do? 💀
English

@UncleOluwafemi @AnyanwuMalachy Exactly! This is their mode of operation.
English

@AnyanwuMalachy The trick is for you to leave your former job and join. They promise you heaven on earth. When they see that you have left your former workplace, they now start showing you h.ell on earth.

@dimmakilishi I have one that is over 10 years old and it is still intact! Crazy.
But they have other products that are fast moving and quickly used up.

@RhonddaBryant So basically the UK gets guaranteed jobs and contracts, while Nigeria gets ‘potential benefits’ and more debt.
Great deal for the UK!

@Dr_Chibuike_M Thank you for answering a question that has bugged me about vasectomy. I always wondered if the male would still ejaculate semen.
English

Vasectomy is very safe. Ejaculation will happen and the euphoria will still be felt.
However, the ejaculate will only contain semen but no sperm cells. Therefore, you can't get a lady pregnant. Semen is that liquid that helps carry your sperm outside your penis.
It is still underutilized because of myths, religious beliefs, and misconceptions associating it with impotence.
You will not feel pain because that area will be numbed before the procedure. It can be done with or without cutting your scrotum open.
Again, you will still ejaculate normally and you will feel good but the ejaculate won't contain sperm, just semen. All the sperm your body will produce will be absorbed into your body just as they are being absorbed now!!
English

This is a scrotum in the picture and the procedure being done is vasectomy.
Vasectomy is a safe, highly effective and permanent method of family planning.
The doctor will just cut and seal the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles. It is just 15–30 minutes.
Ejaculation and sex drive continues, but sperm is no longer present in the semen.
Men, will you be willing to undergo this? 🤔
