@rayengroves I think vibe cooking is one of those things you unlock once you’ve been cooking long enough in general. You start by getting frustrated by instructions like “bake until it’s done” and a decade later you’re the one writing “bake til done” like it’s totally reasonable

But yeah, it’s definitely something you have to taste and fiddle with, everyone’s taste is super different! Like I use an ✨unreasonable✨ amount of garlic 😂

I tried to give a friend my garlic lemon salad dressing recipe and I was like “press as much garlic as you want, juice 1-3 lemons, add salt and pepper, Italian seasoning, ACV, and avocado oil” and she was like “measurements??” I replied “idk girl I just mix till it tastes right?”

This is so true- if you live your life perfectly correctly up until pregnancy and childbirth, your children are actually born fully self sufficient like little baby rattlesnakes

The important thing is that villains must be villainous, and their crimes not excused, EVEN if they are later redeemed!
Example: Edmund Pevensie, in Narnia, is absolutely a loathsome traitor, and the book works hard to redeem him, and pulls it off.
Ebenezer Scrooge is bad as can be. Heck, he's the archetype of the evil capitalist! And yet HE is thoroughly redeemed.
One of the most heartbreaking things in Lord of the Rings is when Smeagol is ALMOST redeemed, but then Sam, misunderstanding what's happening, spoils it. It took me 3 chapters to forgive Sam, but of course he was trying to do right by Frodo.
But it's obviously just fine to have unredeemed villains. Edmund is redeemed, but not the White Witch! Smeagol clearly could have been redeemed, but not Ugluk.

Yes and no. It is actively harmful to tell children that all villains must be redeemed. But it would also be harmful to tell them no villains can be redeemed. Right now, though, we have a dearth of Skeletors.

American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers look identical because they have identical ancestry. They were all bred from early American pit bulls. They're essentially the same breed named differently by two different American dog registries.

Tbh if my dog got out and started chasing someone, I wouldn’t be mad at her getting pepper sprayed. Like 1) it’s my (hypothetical) fault that she’s loose and 2) better pepper sprayed than shot or ran over.

@scotchsoupmaker I think a lot of it is just postpartum overwhelm and anxiety. I still love my pets but they def get on my nerves a little more the first couple months after I have a baby

@NotebookRosary @Zo_bo_fo_sho oh absolutely. In Indiana it's great because Libby is at the state level, so the resources are much bigger than just the county library system

@Zo_bo_fo_sho As a mom to very small children, my kindle cannot have pages torn out of it. And it’s much easier to read at 3am in the dark.
Physical books are fantastic but slightly impractical for some stages of life lol

I'm discovering there's a collection of Protestants who really, really, really don't like Catholics. Holy smokes. I'm not afraid to spread the Truth and share Catholicism, and I will be vocal. I can coexist with no issue, heck, I'm in Oklahoma. But of course we will convert everyone we can. I want America Catholic. That is our goal. But I’ll still love my brothers and sisters in Christ if they choose not to convert.
