The following is something my lovely wife of 45 years asked me to post and I wholeheartedly support. ============= An open letter to Elon Musk.@elonmusk Dear Mr Harriman. I know you understand the reference I just made. I was 10 or 11 when I first read The Man Who Sold the Moon, and it's companion short Requiem, by Robert A Heinlein, or as I like to think of him Admiral Dad. I will never travel to Mars, I am too old. I will never be able contribute to Space X beyond buying merch. But, I am going to ask you to please build a Requiem memorial on Mars. I'm sure there are millions of people like me, who gazed up at the stars and dared to dream and envision a future everyone told them was impossible. I know you are one of those stargazers. Ashes of the dreamers could be placed at the memorial, just something the size of a tylenol capsule. For all those who never got a chance to make the trip. Thank you for opening a door to the stars. Requiem by Robert Lewis Stevenson Under the wide and starry sky, Dig the grave and let me lie. Glad did I live and gladly die, And I laid me down with a will. This be the verse you grave for me: Here he lies where he longed to be; Home is the sailor, home from sea, And the hunter home from the hill. Wife of Outis

Just so we're all clear... The Patriot Front is NOT a group of conservatives and they're NOT MAGA!! They're a group that goes out to stir up controversy and are likely paid by groups like the SPLC to push more division on our country

Let me make one thing absolutely clear: I love being a proud American, but it doesnโ€™t mean I love the government who bends her over and abuses her. Itโ€™s because I love my country that I hate the governmentโ€ฆ

I keep hearing people saying the same thing over and over again. "Members of Congress aren't elected through the Electoral College, so why should we use it to elect the President? Why not just get rid of it and let the national popular vote decide?" Now, on the surface that sounds like a reasonable argument... until you stop and think about what those jobs actually are. Michigan chooses who represents Michigan in Congress. Texas chooses who represents Texas. North Dakota chooses who represents North Dakota. Why should the people of California get a say in who represents Wyoming? They don't live there. They aren't represented by that person. It simply isn't their decision to make. The same applies in reverse. Michigan has no business deciding who should represent Florida. Each state decides who represents that state. The rest of the country quite rightly stays out of it. The President is a completely different kettle of fish. The President isn't just Michigan's President, or Texas's President, or California's President. He is the President of all fifty states. The only elected office in the country that exercises executive authority over the entire nation. That means every state has a stake in choosing who occupies that office. And here's the part people seem to overlook. If you scrap the Electoral College and make it nothing more than a nationwide head count, where do you think every presidential candidate is going to spend their time? They're not going to be wandering around Wyoming, Montana, the Dakotas, Vermont, or any of the smaller states shaking hands with farmers, ranchers and small business owners. They're going to spend almost all of their time in the biggest population centres because that's where the votes are. If you can stand in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Houston or Phoenix and reach millions of potential voters in a single day, why would you spend that same day campaigning somewhere with a fraction of the population? That's just human nature. The Electoral College doesn't stop people from voting. It forces presidential candidates to remember that the United States is made up of fifty states, not just a handful of enormous cities. You can absolutely make the argument that the Electoral College should be abolished. That's a perfectly legitimate debate to have. What you can't honestly argue is that Congressional elections and Presidential elections should work the same way simply because they're both elections. One is about deciding who represents your own state or district. The other is about deciding who will lead the entire Union. They're different offices, with different responsibilities, serving different constituencies. The Founding Fathers understood that. Perhaps we should too.

Have you seen Young Washington yet? We saw it in a packed theater. It is a great movie. Hollywood really dropped the ball because of their hatred of America. They should have made a dozen movies like this with their incredible resources. But Hollywood doesnโ€™t seem to know how to show historic heroes in a positive light anymore. Or maybe they just donโ€™t want to. But thatโ€™s alright. Itโ€™s easier to produce movies now than ever before. Go check out this great movie. Youโ€™ll be glad you did.

YOUNG WASHINGTON: AN AMBITIOUS SUCCESS๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ I just walked out of the theater after watching Young Washington. Its bold ambition stirs a powerful wave of national pride in any American who sees it. The film brings to life the formative years of a leader who would go on to secure liberty for a nation whose heritage stands among the most monumental in human history. If you havenโ€™t seen it yet, get to the theater as soon as you can. Highly recommended.

The box office just exposed the lie. Supergirl burned through $290 million in production and marketing and still only scraped together $10 million in its U.S. opening weekend. Young Washington, made on a humble $30 million, cleared $21 million in the same window. The audience isnโ€™t confused. Theyโ€™re done. Done with the bloated spectacle, the forced messages, and the empty costumes. Theyโ€™re choosing the story that actually carries weight. One film got buried under its own agenda. The other proved that when you give people something real, they show up with their wallets. So what does it say when truth on a small budget beats propaganda on a massive one by more than double?

I donโ€™t make one red cent. I donโ€™t monetize my account, because to do so would inevitably lead to implicit bias. I say what I say, because itโ€™s whatโ€™s on my mind. Thatโ€™s all.

I'd rather have something and not need it than need something and not have it. I do understand the limitations of man and know that a minority of them cannot be trusted within spitting distance. That some of them do not see me as a person, just some nobody they can bully and rob. "God made Man, Sam Colt made them equal"

I don't carry a gun to kill people; I carry a gun to keep from being killed. I don't carry a gun because I'm evil; I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the World. I don't carry a gun because I hate the government; I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government. I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate; I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate. I don't carry a gun because I love it; I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me. Police protection isnโ€™t always immediate. Free citizens must protect themselves because police do not always protect you from a crime in process. Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take a whoopin'! AND WHY DO YOU CARRY? ๐Ÿ˜Š
