Here's my unpopular opinion: This is why we need to bring fisticuffs dueling back. Anyone who rejects a challenge would be a loser without real convictions, who should be completely ignored, unless they're willing to fight for what they believe. Consequences of being an annoying and entitled whiner who wants to impede someone else's God given rights need to be swift, intense, and immediate. We have more than enough camera tech and biometrics to make confirmed mutual consent work and hard to fake. The state's monopoly on force is overreaching and detrimental, when the simple solution is (pardon my French) "talk shit, get hit" when someone's parents let their child become this entitled and self-important of a person with main character syndrome as an adult from sparing the rod. Far fewer people would behave so poorly with the threat of force. Force is in fact the answer sometimes. The question is simply "how much is appropriate for a given situation?". To think otherwise is a feminine mindset. In the softness of first world comfort, far too many have forgotten how harsh the world is by default, and need to be reminded that their bubble of safety isn't absolute reality. Pain is an effective teacher that isn't inherently a bad thing, and not unreasonable within a controlled environment.
