@davepl1968 youtu.be/DwZiN5dICVk dual 25gbs nics; NVME raid arrays. I'm getting ready to change the switch out and I'll do a new tests on spinning disks (as well as this NVME array). I'm just using windows server SMB share and traditional raids.

25Gbe networking for the win! I couldn't tell you why TrueNAS can only write at 1GB/sec when it's using NVMe cache in front of 30 spindles, but that's ZFS for ya. My favorite filesystem! Too bad it operates on a geological timescale.
