President Tinubu’s daughter in law, Layal Tinubu wore the same Princess of Wales’ Royal Variety Performance dress or similar to the state banquet.

@davidandrewt Why cant female muslims meet and pray with them? Or is it acceptable for THEM to decide who prays there

As a Christian, I am pleased that we allow Muslims to meet and pray in Trafalgar Square. It means we live in a country where freedom of religion and respect for others is still alive. It is not, as the Faragists are now claiming, divisive.

@ComradeRedJimmy Be honest. If it was the other way round Starmer would be calling for heads to roll, wouldn’t he?

I am not a fan of Sir Keir Starmer. But watching #pmqs I see a serious politician being harangued by a deeply unserious and immature leader of the opposition. She is truly pathetic. #Starmer #Badenoch

@ComradeRedJimmy Calling Mandelson, someone who enjoyed a nosh on young trafficked boys (yumyum) and sold state/gov critical information to do it 'yesterday's news' is disgusting. He dodges the questions as an irritation. Tories are wronguns but to dismiss M like this shows a sick & perverse side

Based on the minority of comments to this post some seem want to go back to the good old days when the Tories were honest & paragons of integrity. Apparently they have amazing judgement & Badenoch is a woman of rectitude! The Mandelson decision is yesterdays fish & chip paper.

@nowak_paul Easy to say as a man, where were the women in this image, you didnt even notice there were none did you? Calling it acceptable drags us back to the dark ages, maybe women shouldn't go out without a chaperone, have bank accounts or go to school ey

I’m not religious but I have friends, colleagues and neighbours of all faiths and none. To call a public display of Muslim prayer an act of ‘domination and division’ is dog whistle politics. Pure and simple. independent.co.uk/bulletin/news/…

@davehomeless89 As long as the religion doesnt treat women as second class citizens, how they identify doesnt put women at risk and sexuality doesnt involve purving over kids we are good 👍🏻

Why is it "lefty" or "woke" to not want people to be abused for skin colour, religion, sexuality or how they identify Isn't it just called being a human and nice to others?.

Ratcliffe is incoherent - all of the oil and gas we produce here in Britain is sold at the global market price. No amount of oil produced here can in that case save us a single penny. Importing fossil fuels does not mean we pay more. Drilling in the north sea will take years to deliver globally priced fossil fuels and Rosebank will cost nearly £3 Bn in tax payer subsidies to it’s Norwegian owners - and….none of the oil will land here in Britain. So what sense is Ratcliffe making here, other than to shareholders in Rosebank and other oil companies. This is another fossil fuel crisis and we can’t solve it or help ourselves at all - by pouring more oil onto it. telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…

🔴 Some good news to start the week…. This vile creature, Nathan Bennett, has just been sentenced to 30 years in prison. The guy was turning up to work in a nursery wearing trousers with a hole in the crotch (wtf?!) and raping/sexually abusing little boys as young as TWO💔 Thank god he was caught (tho I don’t understand how he wasn’t spotted sooner🤔) and is now behind bars. He should be immediately castrated & I’d prefer he never saw the light of day again. But alas, I’m not Home Secretary. When you send your precious babies to nursery, you do so with trust. Never in your worse nightmares would you imagine anything like this would happen. I hope the families involved are as ok as possible 😔🙏🏻
Crown Prosecution Service@CPSUK

⚖️ A nursery worker has been convicted of multiple sexual offences against children aged between two and three. Nathan Bennett, aged 30, targeted children at the nursery in Bristol where he worked. Read more here orlo.uk/BQ9YP

@tag4UK I can verify this! My MIL was a carer. When Blair opened the gates, he flooded the industry with cheap labour who worked all day and came to the home & sleep at night. She used to go round to each room, push the buzzers then go out for a cig. It just went downhill from there :(

8pm handover, a new shift has begun. All around the country, elderly residents are being shoved into bed, some will ask if they can stay up for a bit, many will be told no. Some will spend the night in the same clothes they have worn all day; they’ll be double padded so they don’t need to be changed through the night. Sensor mats will be pulled out so they don’t alarm, doors will be closed. By 11pm, more than half of the staff looking after your family member will be asleep in the lounge.
