@brianlilley Pierre Poilievre's federal Conservatives received SUBSTANTIALLY more votes in Ontario than Doug Ford's provincial PCs did in their respective recent elections. Poilievre got 3,315,575 while Ford got 2,159,060. That must burn Ford's ass.

I’m thinking Chinese foreign interference in Canadian politics and timing of defections. One defector, Michael Ma, crossed in Dec 2025, joined Carney’s Beijing trip, and downplayed Xinjiang forced labor reports in March 2026—mirroring Beijing’s interests. Multiple Conservative-to-Liberal switches (Ma, d’Entremont, Jeneroux, Gladu) have handed Carney near-majority amid softer China policy. No direct payment proof exists, but past CSIS reports on influence operations make it a credible vector.
