So let me get this straight, pharmacists can prescribe Buprenorphine (Opioid) for drug addicts but people suffering in pain are highly unlikely to get an Opioid for severe pain, wtf 👇💊

@CMerandi I couldn’t be more disgusted with our country. I forgot that in the scoring for risk assessment, they deny those who have had to endore the most severe “acute” pain possible as it’s the very essence of what makes someone who they are. It’s such a big part of one’s health.

@CMerandi I live alone so it's pointless beyond pointless. I got multiple doses free for the asking from the state in case someone was dying in front of my old house. We are now told we should ALL have it in case of this. My motive was selfish, I didn't want to live w watching someone die.

@CMerandi but instead, they jumped the gun. It doesn’t really make any sense because if they were just to look at my chart which they do have as EMTs, they would see that I was on medication’s, which could cause a serotonin syndrome, which could very easily make somebody pass out.

@CMerandi read the pamphlet. They also decided that I must have overdosed on a combination of my Denine and my opiate, which was highly unlikely because of the amount of time that I’ve been on both and the fact that they were in a new prescription. It was more likely the new prescription.

@CMerandi I added the OPS and without the Lyrica, the opiates would honestly be maybe half as effective of that, but I do agree with you that it is ridiculous to prescribe a whole bunch of other things to try to avoid prescribing something else. It actually almost killed me.

@CMerandi honestly, I’m personally nervous because I do take Lyrica and it did save me from having to take fentanyl for eight years. It was far too sedating. It did work well, but I didn’t really have a great quality of life. I couldn’t really do very much once it wasn’t effective enough.

@TwisterChasers @CMerandi I was on a dose for chronic pain and I had no idea that it could make your teeth fall out. I was at the time getting chemotherapy At the time. I thought that was why my teeth fell out or that maybe it was mal nutrition during pregnancy. It was the bupe, there's no other answer..

@CMerandi I visit the Dentist about 4X yearly for checkups, cleanings and work. 1 year ago I began bupren for pain. My last dental visit I had 5 cavities my dentist was shocked. She said I have the cleanest mouth & this shouldn’t have happened. I reduced the bupren and am stopping soon.

I love the art of inquiry like perspective. As people treat me the same. I had to explain it to my son yesterday. It’s super hard to get better not matter what it is. But I don’t get a chip or a party, I get told I should be on suboxone.
