Am I missing something - 400 cows, 1% reduced replacement rate = 4 less heifers? = £42k saving a year = £10,500/heifer? Is there a decimal place missing? @cowmanagement

The $24 Billion Plant-Based Meat Scam 🥩 Wall Street tried to reinvent the cow. They raised billions. They used celebrities. They built meat in a lab. Now they're bleeding cash, and your great-grandmother is laughing from heaven. Here’s how the scam fell apart… 🧵

With Farmers under pressure from multiple direction I’ be fascinated to learn why @asda have decided this is an appropriate time to start stocking Uruguayan beef. There is no excuse for this huge betrayal of the UK’s hard working family farms. Consumers and Farmers deserve better

Questioning Keir Starmer in PMQs on farm inheritance tax - and on the EFRA cross-party report calling for a pause. The PM’s response will be a disappointment to farmers and to many on his own benches, who are convinced that the government should rethink the tax on family farms.

Thank you Alistair for continuing to highlight the impact of this immoral and vindictive tax that has placed a section of our farming community in a terrible position with no ability to plan.

All I’m hearing is - “Food (imported) will be cheaper, now there’s less paperwork” It’s like domestic food production just dosen’t exist 🫥

He’s right. After 10-12 years, cos methane is broken down into CO2, entering a carbon cycle absorbed by plants via photosynthesis, converted into cellulose and eaten by livestock and the cycle starts again. The very essence of environmental sustainability.

@ian4downton Historically "council houses" were built in the edge of the village out of the way all together. Just look around at your local villages, they are 1/2 mile outside of our local settlements.

@herdyshepherd1 And nothing in the MSM. As soon as cereal prices surge it's all over the news. Very weird and I'm not hearing too many complaints about the prices in the shops 🤔🤔
