The folks that do that, white or not, make up such a small percentage of the population, and you’d be hard pressed to even run into someone like that. If it were a Toyota seat, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility. But you can’t jump from one manufacturer to the next when you’re signed on to race for them. That’s breach of contract.

@12JimHenry @Wonderful_Chip The only short track series’ that run that much power are sprint cars. Late models and Modifieds, both asphalt and dirt, run right around 600 or lower depending on the rules restrictions.

NASCAR went from 550hp, to 550/750, to 670, to 670/750.. The trend here is obvious, so why just the incremental HP increases? Let these things rip and racing will be back to what it should be.

@tyfitz11 @jeff_gluck @CBellRacing @KellyCrandall 750hp engine package at all tracks under 1.5 miles, and all road courses. Up from the 670hp engine that has been run at all tracks beforehand. Bristol, Darlington, and Dover will no longer have the intermediate package.

@noemission @cgtwts You can test it for yourself. I rotate through all three constantly, and Google Maps comes out as the most convenient and consistent for me. I guess you can consider me elderly then at 30. I’d rather keep my eyes on the road at all times.

@CarnerEvan @noemission @cgtwts Yes, it does. Most of the alerts are shared now between Waze and Google Maps. There’s still some specific alerts for both, but the police alerts come across on both.

@noemission @cgtwts Waze has been ass for a while now. Google Maps has the alerts integrated into it now, and much better spoken navigation directions IMO. Waze waits until the last possible second to give you a direction, and is terrible when it comes to quickly re-routing. No reason to use it now.

@Pigeongamer3 @jeff_gluck Homestead is still a better track and race than Phoenix usually. But this just shows that the upped horsepower and softer tires are having a positive impact on what is normally an uninteresting race.

@flpms @mtrantalainen @TowryPeyton You’re trying to compare a 3400lb stock car with minimal downforce and grip to a lightweight open wheel car with 4x the downforce and mechanical grip. They’re built for completely different types of racing. Of course one is going to be faster than the other.

The computer showed some abnormal readings related to Kyle Larson’s engine when it was fired up this morning. The team spoke to NASCAR about what data it could access. NASCAR’s rule is if they plug in, team goes to the rear. Ultimately the team decided not to do that. They are heading to the grid and will start the race.
