GRAPEVINE, Texas — We arrested two illegal aliens following a deadly jet ski accident that killed 18-year-old Ava Moore near the Lake Grapevine shoreline of Oak Grove Park May 25.
🔎With support from our state, federal and local partners, we arrested 22-year-old Venezuelan illegal alien Daikerlyn Alejandraa Gonzalez-Gonzalez May 27.
She’s charged with felony manslaughter after allegedly operating a jet ski at a high rate of speed after colliding with and killing Moore who was kayaking at the time of the collision.
Gonzalez’s jet ski passenger remained on the scene with witnesses and provided a statement to local police. Meanwhile, Gozalez fled in a vehicle with her boyfriend, 21-year-old Venezuelan alien Maikel Coello-Perozo.
Coello-Perozo was charged with obstructing the arrest of his girlfriend. Both aliens are in removal proceedings because they were living in the United States illegally.

Earlier this month, I signed landmark legislation making Florida the model for states in helping the Trump Administration combat illegal immigration. At my direction, all of our state law enforcement agencies have entered 287(g) agreements with ICE to help our federal partners enforce immigration laws.
Today, alongside DHS Senior Counselor Keith Pearson, I was pleased to announce that, due to the statutory duty that all local Florida entities are required to actively facilitate federal immigration enforcement, all 67 county sheriffs in Florida have also signed up for the 287(g) program to be authorized to execute functions of immigration enforcement. This is an essential step toward restoring the rule of law and undoing the damage caused by the Biden Administration’s reckless open-borders agenda.
