Home automation has come so far! Back prior to 2013, it was a win just to turn something on or off reliably. Now, the advancements are truly impressive. Anyone else remember those early days? #HomeAutomation #TechEvolution

@thecomputerclan Let me help you out. I think it is fine. Don't understand the hate. People hate change. Roll with it or run linux. There are other things in the world to spend time on trying to fix. Like why DoorDash doesn't refund the full amount of an item when they forget to deliver it.

I don't think I've heard a single person, online or in person, say they like Windows 11. Is it actually that bad or is it just a loud minority?

@MrSoftee_ the app should have a button to summon the truck! Our local driver always misses our street. He goes all around but never comes here!! We want ice cream! 🍦

Shelly Plus i4 DC: Perfect match I have to tell you - I really like these little scene controllers. So useful. I just wish they’d not show up as unknown device on the IQ 4 Panel. youtu.be/NVB98Mgg4Os?si… via @YouTube

@davepl1968 @dsobeski This makes me think about the power requirements for the wifi radio. I wonder if ZWave Long Range somehow would be a solution here, customized to directly associate to its remote partner without a zwave hub ?

@dsobeski See, I was wondering about that. As long as the sender is asserting DSR, I could charge the batteries off that :-)

I’m trying build a wireless serial cable, because none exists. I just want to plug into one end, and it wirelessly bridges to the other end up to wifi range. I ordered the parts I think I need (MAX3232 and ESP32). Apparently, there’s something really hard about it, but no one can tell me why they don’t exist, so it’s time to find out or make one! The commercially available MAX232-TTL bridges don't expose hardware flow control, that's the only hurdle I know of, so I bought full MAX3232 breakouts. They support two pairs per chip, so I should be able to do RX/TX and RTS/CTR. Anyone know why these don't exist yet? Or do they?

A closer look at the new Zooz ZEN58 reveals a "very cool" design. Ready to join it up and see what it looks like in action. #DIY #Testing #ZWave
