I think this was more of an illustration of how deep the problem runs in government and how hard it is to fix. If someone like Elon Musk, known for moving fast and cutting inefficiency, can’t break through the federal bureaucracy, that says a lot. I believe he mentioned the only real path out may be massive productivity growth if AI delivers and the economy grows faster than the debt. Let’s hope he’s right.
