So update on this. Getting a new battery to try this out. Found out that my xfx rx 570 has a bad hdmi port. So I may be able to salvage this. Maybe. We'll see.

The board wasn't great tbh didnt even come with the cmos battery which was reason enough to get a refund. But wanted to check away to see it boot into bois at least. And get nothing. Reset the bios. Nothing. Tried the 1 ram stick in each slot. Nothing. So pretty sure bad board

Update on this one. Came in. Didn't boot. Did like 6hrs of work around. Reset the bios. Did the one ram stick. Just to find out the hmdi port on my gpu doesnt work. It boots and all ram slots work. So yay! I feel very silly.

Yeah just bought an gigabyte z170 and i5 6400 with 8gbs of ram for $75. Not bad. But was really wanting a 6700k or 7700k. But eh. Did confirm that it booted to bois 👍 Should be getting it soon and maybe fully built on Thursday

Valve has reportedly made a major internal price hike for its upcoming Steam Machine. New leaks from hardware expert Brad Lynch indicate that the Steam Machine has received the largest cost increase among Valve’s new hardware due to global shortages and price spikes in RAM and memory components for PCs. Thanks to AI, the Steam Machine could now end up more expensive than the standalone Steam Frame VR headset when they launch. That’s exactly the opposite of what Valve wanted to do in its initial plans. Valve has already acknowledged delays and pricing reviews for these devices, but exact prices haven’t been revealed yet. We should get official launch details for the full lineup soon.

The force awakens was an 8 out of 10, it was close to being perfect but it relied too heavily on nostalgia and "remember these moments", other than that it was a solid movie, though later they did Finn's character really dirty.

With pc gaming you need a certain level of patience it's why I mainly play consoles. I can't remember the last time I had an issue on any of my consoles whereas literally 30mins ago I had a driver crash on my pc lol

I don't know if I just have bad luck, but PC gaming has become such a pain for me that I just picked up AC Rogue so I can play it at 60FPS on PC and the game crashes on boot-up no matter what I try. Genuinely has me wishing I had an Xbox Series X for the FPS boost to old games.

@idonotexistelol But I did eventually get the games working either by a community patch or a program (specifically Prototype ya gotta disable cores on your CPU) that makes it launch and not crash, Or a stupid one like Borderland GOTY edition where you have to change the .exe file to launcher
