What do you expect from the Steam Frame?

@metro_xr I absolutely agree. In my first of inviting people round to try it I made a few mistakes for people’s first go and this was one of them. He almost went green.

@GAMERTAGVR I think this free game has ruined a lot of people. Stomach churning IMHO. Many people will find it perusing the Meta store for the first time.

Some people try VR once, feel sick, and never go back. People who stick with it tell me they just needed time to adjust using a combination of short sessions, teleport movement, vignettes and absolutely avoid driving and flying. VR sickness is a huge hurdle regardless and hope we overcome it soon.

@ExoshockVR I think I’m always confused about the lighting in this. The games looks really fun, it just it seems really dark and then all those flashes might actually cause some eye issues

Enemy fire should feel a bit more fair now. 🙌 Peeking from cover, suppressing enemies, and breaking their aim should matter more. Enemies are less accurate when you suddenly appear, then adjust over time if they keep sight of you. Standing exposed is still a bad idea. Also fixed grenade throwing, objective spawns, and brought back some critical-health damage resistance.

Mixed reality was a great way to do this but it’s rarely a thing now. The size of the space, setup and capture can be a chore. I dedicated some time in the past to figuring it all out to make some videos but it’s pretty forgetten about today with developers working on more in-game capture tools like LIV

Most people think VR is strapping a screen to your face. For me it’s complete escapism. Stepping inside games I love versus watching them on a screen is life changing. I’ve become Link, Samus, Leon & many more but this feeling is still unknown to most gamers. VR is the future of gaming & it’s already here.

@GiddyOnGaming Instead of pausing just take the headset off. They have a sleep mode and an auto wake up feature.

@GAMERTAGVR This issue I have with VR is I can't experience "complete escapism" for very long. Real life obligations come calling and I am CONSTANTLY interrupted. A videogame can be paused and resumed within seconds. A VR game requires me to "crawl out" of the world.
