Honestly our experiences are day and night… literally today I had in my car my most difficult sceptic of this technology… a friend that will never abandon his sports driving for FSD… and at the end of the night he said that yes he is impressed and this thing drives better than a human!!! what FSD version does your friend have? The experience on highway in Houston literally has 0 issues for 99.999% of the time with the 0.001% being a missed exit every 50 rides or so. HOV selection is a SETTING than you can toggle and it’s behaviour is flawless… and if you don’t want to stay in the left lane (where the car at hurry indeed sometimes stays when doing 10m over the speed limit) all you have to do is toggle to standard…and it IMMEDIATELY takes the center lane…. And this is shared experience from anyone I have talked to. So the things you describe are extremely stretched descriptions … almost distorting reality…

I really hope FSD’s highway behaviour and navigation gets fixed soon. I was sitting in the passenger seat this morning while Jae used FSD. We drove 45 minutes downtown, almost the entire drive was on the highway. Watching her struggle with FSD’s decisions made me realize there’s a lot of work to be done before your “average” person can use it without any issues. Something as simple as using the HOV lane, FSD still cannot do. It randomly pops in and out with no real rhyme or reason. It will camp the fast lane while the slow lane is empty (causing two different people to flash their lights at us). Was the whole drive safe? Yeah for sure, and that’s great! But there was probably 10+ times that Jae had to intervene to get the car to do the “right” thing - including taking over so it didn’t miss our exit. I absolutely love FSD, I think it’s game changing technology. But when it struggles with “basic” driving I can see why any non-enthusiasts would quickly dismiss the technology. You can get mad at me for my opinion on this all, but I think it’s truth 🤷‍♂️

I miss Landon Donovan the player so much, ever since he retired it’s been rough. Unlike Dempsey that is still very much loved… Donovan has become one of the most unlikable people in the US 🇺🇸 Soccer community.

Good point Jason. HOWEVER the same 3 companies also announced a step up In Their Capex investment which is now in the hundreds of Billions… right? Have you done a calculation on how many James jobs this is creating and at what pay levels? Then we would be talking apples to apples. Right? The people that are building the data centers, the businesses in the area around the data centers, the people operating them, the nvidia positions, the positions in the entire supply chain for all these data centers (all the components that go in them) etc… and I am strictly talking about jobs that 3 years ago did not exist in that supply chain … so if you want to be fair should you also do that part of the analysis?

Even the $TSLA cult is beginning to see the truth - vision-only simply does NOT WORK. @GLJ_Research firmly blvs @elonmusk made a grave mistake putting out "FSD" in Austin 6/25, thus putting an expiration date on "FSD" ramping. The cult is beginning to have "the realization".

I’m just going to say it and I know I’ll get some hate for it, but v14.2.2.5 is the worst FSD release since v14. Constantly in the wrong lane, a lot of weird maneuvers, so many additional nav errors, routing, speed control, parking, and that’s just to name a few. v14.3 cannot come soon enough.

@elonmusk @SeanDuffyWI if you are serious about fixing the TSA situation why not work with a bank to provide loans with minimal interest to TSA employees. The interest can be covered by Elon (since he wants to contribute) and the payoff of the loan happens automatically from the paychecks when the shutdown is over. 0 risk for the bank as it is guaranteed by the government and Elon only covers the small interest portion. Everyone wins

@Teslarati 100% agreed and confirmed also on Cybertruck. Literally there is one instance in my neighborhood where the nav says left, there is no reason what so ever to go right, yet it does :) all you other observations valid also…

🚨 A couple of things I've noticed after a lot of miles on v14.2.2.5: 🛑 I've had three instances of the vehicle putting on the wrong turn signal. When navigation says the car should turn left, it will sometimes turn on the right blinker. This requires a manual override with the signal stalk, and, if unsuccessful, I have had to take over and turn in the correct direction. 🛑 In early v14 releases, a lot of us talked about "hesitation" or "stuttering." This has returned, but not in the same fashion. Previously, the car would buck forward a few times, inching and deciding whether to take the turn. Now, it is more hesitant to take some turns at intersections, and I find myself using the accelerator pedal to nudge the car to take the turn. I only do it when it is blatantly obvious the car should proceed through the intersection. "Hurry" is what I travel on 9 times out of 10.

First thoughts on v14.2.2.5 - ✅ Speed Profiles seem excellent, Hurry did a great job on both Local Roads and Highways. Really smooth lane changes and overall traffic navigation on the Interstate ✅ Parking performance, through two attempts, was slightly improved. No parking on lines or inaccuracies ✅ Slightly more conservative proceeding from stop signs. I felt it had more than enough time to proceed at one point, but it waited for an oncoming car to pass before proceeding. 🛑 Navigation still shows no improvements unfortunately

@DirtyTesLa And honestly the navigation issues have exploded in the latest version. Literally now every 5-6 routes I have to take over because it decides to do something random in navigation. Sometimes it even ignores the navigation and goes the other way! Strange .. so strange

@mamboitaliano__ The bulk of the snow was already stopped by the trees and in the other valley. Here in the video is not the actual avalanche, but a cloud of light snow lifted by the air displacement triggered by the avalanche. It is not dangerous (but one should not breathe in too much of it).

Senator I am afraid this opinion is outdated. As outdated was the same sentiment when cars replaced horses, industrial automation replaced manual labor, computers replaced papers, internet replaced libraries, cell phones replaced land lines etc. every step of the way on the above, outdated opinions like this created fear mongering for political gain. Guess what? Every time the future was brighter. What is different this time might be the speed of the transition. So if you focused your energy on having transition plans in place and have real discussion on how to better facilitate the future, everyone would be better off. But you do not… why ? I will take the good scenario… you simply have zero understanding of the technology…

How about “NONE OF THE ABOVE”… I am sure if social media existed in the 1800s the horse carriage drivers union would say the same thing about cars as you said above…. 👆 keep missing the opportunities it creates! And the new business created … of course there is a need for a plan for the transition to that but Instead of fear mongering maybe let’s work to have that in place?
