The best you can do is like, “make me extremely attractive to her, physically and behaviorally”, since that s altering yourself

@Dastanovich_ It’s more concern over Sega rather than Atlus ngl. P5R was five years ago, while Sonic Generations, SMTV, and both Yakuza 0 and 3 were delisted from 2024-2026. Y3 is most concerning since the original is a completely different game from the remake, it wasn’t just an enhanced port

The only time ATLUS delisted something was SMTV for Vengeance and that's cuz they were saving you from accidentally buying an unfinished game
They didn't even delist vanilla P5 when Royal released. You can buy it right now

@bruhmanguy42 @RubenRhubarb Yep, I noticed that playing Metaphor too. When you press it, you attack without even a confirm prompt, so I did it a few times accidentally. The speed made it almost feel like action gameplay while in turn-based.
I bet the “Guard” button in P4R is the same as the new parry too

@RubenRhubarb I occurred to me right after I wrote this, X/Square is the button to swing your sword in the overworld in P3R. I’m yet to play Metaphor, but I assume this is the case there too?
I’m thinking they changed it to keep the action bound to the same button both in and out of combat

@tsukideko Yall keep saying P5’s format of list + protagonist menu only works for P5, but like, what IS the reason for that? The only unique P5 thematic elements is the comic style and MC poses-things you can change between games.
You can say the format is fatigued, but it isn’t misused

@catwonderer @TempestsArc Maybe it has to do with mixing for headphone audio rather than TV speakers now.
The non-bass layer of is overall less prominent now, but w/ headphones it’s still loud, letting the bass can be more in focus without sacrificing too much of the other. At least that’s the intention

@TempestsArc Question is, WHY? They did the exact same thing with Mass Destruction, in concept those instruments ARE supposed to be less audible and complement the main melody, why bring it to the front when it was obvious it wasn't suppose to? No wonder it would sound like ass

I gotta hear more of it to really gauge my opinion of it but it definitely sounds like it’s doing what P3R did to like make some of the audio from the background of the song to be more in the foreground
I have faith in it that it’ll probably wow me a bit more into the song

But just for your sake, yes the line weighting has actual variance on the OG piece, showing clear distinction between surfaces/objects, instead of uniform line thickness across the entire piece making everything blend together. There's also additional shadows for contrast and subtle rim lighting on the cap/bag strap/Marie's face that adds much more depth to the portrait versus how flat the new sprite looks. The OG also has fewer tangents and better understanding of line flow making it look more dynamic, example being the shirt collar and sleeves on the new one being at almost the same angle, giving off the impression of flatness. Color balance and overall mood is also better on the OG, leaning into the whole retro/sepia tone that P4 was notable for, harmonizing with the vivid yellow drop shadow on the left. Meanwhile the new sprite seems to have zero environmental lighting whatsoever, and looks like a fuzzy mess of blending. Speaking of blending, OG also has sharper, crisper lines for some reason, despite being almost 15 years older and rendered on lower resolution.

Reload’s portraits had lots of shading, plus Narukami’s portrait in Revival is shaded. They’re capable of it, they just choose not to

@fluffybiscuit03 @Saiaxs42 It’s objectively worse from a technical standpoint, preferences aside. This is fact, not opinion. New looks like it’s not Soejima-quality artwork, just a pale copy of it that doesn’t understand both environmental colour and his core aesthetic.

@trashtaki @howlongondaboat What you see in the video is actually after the 2023 update where they tried to fix it on the modern ports, but it looks like they accidentally left a frame from the old one in the animation. In the versions before, it was just always misaligned.
So this is already post-fix
