@ChikinTX @MightyKeef Thats valid. But i think its important to check our expectations. If it's good, its good. That should be able to exist simultaneously with "theres room for improvement." The problem is people like to forget about the first point to make the second point.

ALSO: making the assumption that "if people pay it, thats what it's worth" is categorically wrong. There is established research that shows people will pay more for consumer goods than they're worth under specific conditions. Scalper inflation =/= actual value.

Theyre right in that WotC is usually a problem. But attempting to absolve scalpers of blame because "they didnt build the system, so it makes sense" is gross. They also have this weirdly arrogant way of interacting with people and calling every other person "kid". Beta vibes.

Hot take: this is still underpriced. $99 was a joke and designed to create an instant sellout after the disaster that was TMNT. Anchoring to that number is emotional. The market just told us what it was actually worth.

9th place at Seattle!! A bit bummed that I couldn’t take it further, but I’m overall very proud of how I played this weekend. I have been working hard this season to improve and it feels great to have that work translate to results! Also one day I’ll play well on stream lol

@pokejungle @JoeMerrick this is exactly why theyre doing it. They want your money and simultaneously reduce the overall amount of premium rewards given to the players. Lower possession of premium items will increase need, thus driving more shop and ticket sales. Its thinly veiled manufactured scarcity.

@JoeMerrick I hate the passes because they require more play than the timed research. I don't want to have to pay for rewards that I may not even be able to redeem depending on my schedule.

Like seriously, GO Passes have been like $10 a piece. Even tickets are like $2 or $5 if it has a pose/cosmetic This is not a good change

@TigheSammy This graphic is useless. Its very obviously made by someone that has an axe to grind with how the modern main series games are made. Im willing to bet if they rated the entire series of main series games, ratings would be high until about gen 4, where they steadily decline.

@manasightgg @SaffronOlive This is the answer. There is probably a card in TMNT that combos super well with it, and they already know about it and want to prevent it from running rampant in Historic.

@SaffronOlive Legal for 5 months, barely saw play, then pre-banned before the set that reminded anyone it existed. The stranger part is that Jitte being fair in Historic for that long might say something about power creep in the format more than it says about Jitte.

Wizards is printing so many cards they can't even keep track anymore. They released Umazawa's Jitte on Arena back in September in Arena Anthology 3 and it's been legal in Historic since then without really seeing much play, but apparently the TMNT reprint is pre-banned? lol

i don't think i've ever gotten a good explanation of how to play pokemon without the exp share... like i know it involves switch training and rearranging your team all the time and farming exp from chanseys but i just don't get why people prefer that. it's so inconvenient
