@JonahDispatch Taxes on property go back a thousand years in England. As far as I know, there have never been taxes based on aesthetic objections. In my view, the case for a tax on property is heightened when it reaches this level.

So if Musk is “hoarding” money, what would it mean if/when the stock price goes down? The selling window doesn’t start to open until August. So if by then the price drops 25% did he give back that money to everyone else? If he hoarded it, that must mean when he loses it, it goes somewhere. Or maybe they think he’s hoarding naturally occurring electric cars and rockets? Or maybe none of these people understand how wealth creation works.

For the idiots justifying Elon and his Trillions although I accept more than 60% are AI bots owned by Elon. Elon is asset rich and cash poor (so called) because this is the way to avoid paying tax not from some innate goodness. One Trillion owned by an individual through some companies is good for him and maybe a few thousand rich people, same money spent on hunger, education will lead to over 30x multiplication of wealth benefitting millions almost eradicating hunger atleast for a few decades possibly forever. Poor defending Elon (not bots and not paid accounts) are like self harmers. There is no logical. Moral or economic rational for this obscenity. Wealth leads to more wealth he has started experimenting in US and UK but will soon be the king of earth and all of us will be his slaves. The plan is not to occupy Mars but to occupy earth.
