Terrible news, my friends. The SAVE Act has just advanced 51-48 in the Senate. It is grossly unconstitutional and a threat to our democracy. It will disenfranchise the voting rights of millions of dead people! 💀

@Vitus_osst Traditionally, a general custom was Father "First Name" for Religious priests and Father "Last Name" for Diocesan priests. But customs varied by region. This is because religious priests in religious orders often take a religious name. For example "Padre Pio".

The major difference between a ✓ Diocesan Priest and a ✓ Religious Priest Diocesan priests : serve within a specific geographical area called a diocese, where they are assigned by a bishop. They make promises of chastity and obedience to their bishop but do not take a vow of poverty, allowing them to own personal property. Their primary focus is on the needs of their parish community, administering sacraments and providing pastoral care. ✓ Religious priests: on the other hand, belong to a religious order and take vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. They live in community with other members of their order and may be assigned to various locations based on the needs of their community, often engaging in broader missions beyond parish work

@Untilrose821 @gonefishin1948 lmao, you certainly can fake it on an X account. He hasn’t made a single post sharing knowledge or expertise unique to the priesthood. He’s shared thousands of views consonant with a boor possessing no critical thinking skills.

@m_patrixia @gonefishin1948 I think it’s possible to discern truth from a lie, certainly with this account it’s possible. I agree, his knowledge of Catholicism is very minimal and superficial and in fact it’s often be wrong.

🚨#BREAKING: A nearly 70-year-old North Carolina real-life Karen... Karen Lewis... has been arrested after she was caught on camera meticulously vandalizing a Tesla Cybertruck using a board with nails hammered into it. She was released on just a $1,000 bond. Police say they have "no motive" for why the older, white, mask-wearing, 67-year-old woman named Karen, who did not know the man who owned the Cybertruck, would commit this crime. In fact, in the police report, they say the "offense appears to be a random act..."

@matthewdmarsden @patrickbetdavid My husband’s father left him and his four siblings when he was 8 months old. My husband told me before we got married he was afraid of being his father. He isn’t. He is the most incredible father and husband.

@patrickbetdavid I didn’t have a father growing up. He left us when I was born, and died alone. I have 9 kids and have been married for 21 years. I learned not to be him.

If you want to defend the faith this includes defending the priesthood. Call him out if he contradicts church doctrine. Call him out when he is antagonistic and divisive. One of the actual Catholic priests on X did call out two Catholic influencers on their X accounts for not being properly formed to make the statements they posted. I thought this was a nice bit of recent apologetics dealing with St Patrick. You’ll have to see the original comment that it replies to, to appreciate it. Have a nice day. x.com/rickwmiller1/s…
Rick Miller@RickWMiller1

You just quoted a Catholic bishop’s prayer to take a swipe at Catholics. That collapses immediately. 1️⃣ St. Patrick wasn’t “anti-papist” He was a bishop in apostolic succession. The very thing you’re rejecting is the office he held. 2️⃣ That prayer is Catholic to the core It’s not “me and Jesus, no Church.” It’s Christ everywhere: in, through, and among His people. That’s sacramental, incarnational Christianity… not Protestant minimalism. 3️⃣ You created a false choice Patrick never made “Christ vs. the Church” is fiction. Christ founded a Church (Matt 16:18). Christ sent ministers (John 20:21–23). Christ said hear them = hear Me (Luke 10:16). Patrick lived that reality. He didn’t reject it. 4️⃣ Your argument eats itself You trust Patrick enough to quote him… but reject the Church that formed him, sent him, and defined his faith. Pick one. Bottom line: Quoting St. Patrick against Catholicism is like quoting a quarterback to prove football doesn’t need a team.

Unapologetically CATHOLIC
I absolutely agree…I used the term militant apologist…my way of saying I enjoy Catholic accounts that go on the offensive. You listed a few of my favorite apologists…I don’t go to accounts like these to learn, I’m here for entertainment…I don’t see all of his posts either, just the ones that match my algorithm. James White is probably my favorite…hahaha…I think he brings more to the Catholic faith than anyone…especially when he debates Trent or Joe. I refer to books and the above apologists on YouTube for real apologetics. When I first started trying to be an online apologist and debater, I tried very hard to be charitable and thought, surely I can help lead people the right way…however, social media has a way of destroying that charitable side…which is why I stepped away from social media for several months. The charitable people don’t debate and so the ones debating are usually the least charitable and aggressive. I do appreciate your words and fully understand where you’re coming from…i don’t disagree with you but I’m a realist and think conversion comes from studies outside of social media…however, there are a lot of onlookers and I should concern myself with those more than the person I’m debating. I take your wise words to heart…I admire the real apologists and yet I’m that militant apologist that comes on for entertainment without considering who is watching…God is telling me to chill out…He is speaking through you. Lately I’ve been bombarded with signs that I’m being too aggressive myself. I am just drawn to heated debates and love to be in them. Thank you for this conversation!
