Halo had a near perfect ending. It should've ended at 3 just like Dark Souls. Would've finished at it's peak, never had a downfall and wouldn't have a single bad game in the franchise. Just think about that. Ending where it began, in a cryo-pod.

How can people not be aware that the war in Iran has caused the wholesale price of petrol and diesel to increase? This means that the businesses, such as Tesco, are buying fuel at a higher cost. Some people will argue, "But the oil that was stopped in Iran wasn't due to get here for another two weeks. " That doesn't matter. That doesn't stop the people who supply Tesco with petrol and diesel from putting their prices up. Prices are up across everywhere, because fuel stations are paying more for the fuel...

Dear @Tesco Would it be possible if we ask kindly enough for you to try your absolute hardest to go 24hrs without increasing the price of petrol/diesel for no other reason than pure astronomical greed. I look forward to hearing from you soon Kind Regards Everyone

Saw The Mario Galaxy Movie today. The writing and plot isn't going to set the world on fire, but you have to be a right miserable sod to come out of that film as a videogame fan and say you didn't have a good time. Also, Fox rules.

@KalebPrime It comes with Astro's Playroom - More than enough to keep you busy for a few hours before your next game. Physical games might be cheaper on a different site to where they purchased the PS5 from too. Just because they aren't in this order doesn't mean they didn't get any games.

@CryptumZetaXV I said the same, the books have always been good, but the last few years have seen some absolute classic novels for the Halo Series. I don't understand how someone could conclude that you can't write a good Halo book when we have been receiving peak from the novels recently.

Great books do in fact still exist. 🤷‍♂️ Games are going to be fine. TV show…… eh I’d rather another Halo Legends.

@LiamLXonYT I'm not a Trophy hunter particularly, and it wasn't a hard platinum to get, but my favourite would have to be Astro's Playroom, just because of the sheer joy I had 100%ing that game. Core memories were made looking for every collectable with my kids. 💙

@uncle_deluge I can objectively see why you would say this about prospective games, films, TV series, etc (although I disagree), but books?! There's been some fantastic Halo novels in the last few years. Epitaph, Rubicon Protocol, Empty Throne, were all fantastic, just off the top of my head.

I believe Halo is cursed. It might actually be impossible to make a good Halo game now, to adapt it to film, to write another good book. It just can't be done. Something is occurring metaphysically, beyond the realms of men. The wellspring we draw from for "Halo" is polluted

@boinksi This is such an important part of reading that people don't comprehend. I *hated* reading. Then Pokémon Red came along - I needed to read to play the game. Then came the Star Wars and Halo novels. I now read 1 or 2 books a month. Enjoying what you're reading it so important!

Quick story time: I gave one of my students a copy of Halo: The Flood back in December. I have my students do a semester-long independent reading project due at the end of the year. This kid not only read The Flood (he hates reading, btw), but ended up reading First Strike, Ghosts of Onyx, and Oblivion. All he needed was some level of interest in what he read. He has become one of my most productive students based solely on the fact that someone gave him a chance to explore what he might like. That’s why the books matter.

@jd7489 @AdriWindGB You have a point there; removal of the bottom screen and beefing up of top screen controls would perhaps make it a bit too easy. Lylat Wars on the N64 wasn't exactly hard though, so I'd take a fancy version of that whilst we wait for the next title. Might not have to wait long!

@jd7489 @AdriWindGB Respectfully disagree. Remove the bottom screen mechanics, tighten up the intentionally loose aiming of the ship on the main screen, move some of the ship functions from the right stick to the bumpers / triggers, and you're practically there with little effort.

@Vexinator @AdriWindGB the controls are ingrained into the game's design. you can't separate them without redesigning a whole bunch of it, at which point you might as well work new ideas into it to make a whole new game with
