@TheRooster The hate train from all sides did a lot of damage. The game is actually really good, the lore, gunplay, and unique art direction feel refreshing. It’s a shame people are overlooking what they built here. A lot of that started with the stolen art drama. That guy did real damage.

Marathon has sold 1.2M copies so far. Although it has a dedicated fanbase, it wasn't a hit on the same level as ARC Raiders. Why do you think that is?

@CrimsonDesert_ I can’t stop playing. Please don’t sleep on the photo mode. Add FOV, improve depth of field so we get proper foreground blur too, not just background bokeh, and give us some cool facial animations, character poses, and maybe even character positioning :P I bend the knee.

@CrimsonDesert_ Bonus is that more people will share and spend more time in the game, which means organic marketing. I honestly think it’s a small priority that gets overlooked. Just look at Forbidden West.

@OrtizYohnny @AutomotiveVP Yeah, it feels like a choice between realism and vibrancy. Without HDR, it has more of that bright, colourful Forbidden West-style look. I like both, but I went with HDR.

HDR ON VS HDR OFF 4K #5090 #CrimsonDesert I think both look good, and both would satisfy people, but HDR has that extra level of realism over the brighter, more vibrant HDR-off mode.

Disagreeing is fine, but that score is exactly why people question games media. Have you seen some of the games they’ve rated 8s and 9s?
