I'm confident that Julani will not fall into Trump's trap. Syria could pay dearly for any attempt to act against Hezbollah. The country has no air defenses, it infrastructure is completely exposed, and despite exaggerations, Iraq's PMF could do a lot of damage in the east especially if it cooperated with Kurds and Druze.

@MSW4ever12 @WithinSyr There are 20 million Sunnis in Syria who feel empowered by the current regime, especially after what happened during the civil war. It's pretty much over in Syria for Iran simply due to the demographic disadvantage

Also, this is one issue I trust Turkey on. Ankara will not allow Syria to turn into a tool to serve Israel's interests, let alone to very much get involved in another occupation of Lebanon, and allow Israel to bring its influence closer to Turkey's sphere.

Update: the same apartment appears to have been hit from front, and back, at the same time. Or more likely, the same floor, as every floor likely have multiple apartments. Another sign of a high level assassination.
