Imagine getting a phone call at your job 4:50, when you are supposed to be down at 5, & that person asks you to do a task that will take you about an hour +.
Now imagine that happening all of the time.
Would you be happy? The answer is no.
It’s the same thing for servers.

do you know what's infuriating? when a restaurant says they close at 10 PM on yelp and you walk in at 9:50PM and they're like "nah, we are closed."
