🚨 idGeek 2.0 is live 🚨 Internet Identity sales now run through dedicated, immutable smart contracts deployed by sellers. No central marketplace. No pooled funds. No access to user assets. By anyone. Ever. idgeek.app #ICP #InternetComputer #IC #DFINITY

@_GeekFactory How long does it take for the ownership transition? Where can I find more information about the entire process and how it works?

@RailmanICP It’s already there — non-binding offers are supported.

@Coinopoly_YT If you mean a neuron controlled by a hardware wallet (e.g. Ledger), it’s non-transferable. Even if it appears in NNS via a hotkey, it won’t be shown by the contract because its controller is the hardware wallet, not the NNS principal derived from the Internet Identity.

@ICP_USD During transfer the contract removes all login methods, including old II 1.0 passkeys, new passkeys, recovery phrase, and OAuth (Google/Apple/etc.), so the previous owner cannot log back in.

@_GeekFactory If i buy Identity that has neuron. Does it have all old login methods removed? Currently we cant remove login methods that come with II 1.0 migration, did you find a way to remove them. If not than old user can migrate again, get into that II account, no?

@VietgangICP Internet Identity sessions can remain valid for up to 30 days and there’s currently no way to revoke them instantly. If II introduces session revocation in the future, the cooldown could potentially be removed entirely.

@_GeekFactory Is there any way in the future to remove the 30 days countdown? It’s really frustrating to have to wait an entire month just to buy an item, even waiting a few minutes already feels long lol 🤣.

@Theyouuse8 @plsak Both the contract and the storefront display the anchor number, so it’s still possible to see whether an Identity is an early one.

@_GeekFactory @plsak Does old internet identities still have value after the upgrade to ii2 is there a way to recognise someone is selling one of the first ever identities created?

@konancoc Not yet — the process is described in detail in the FAQ, but demo videos are coming soon as well.

@mrsexyjohnson It doesn’t transfer into or merge with your existing account. It remains a separate Internet Identity. After the purchase, you transfer it from the contract to your device by adding your own passkey.

@plsak To transfer an II to the contract, it needs to be upgraded to v2. Anchor numbers still exist under the hood in v2; in the contract and storefront, they are displayed to make identities easier to recognize.

@_GeekFactory Nice! Just to know, is there also supported the II 2.0 or just the old ones (with anchor - number)?
