@georgegalloway The only imperialist war is fought by Russia. They are the ones who want to steal more land.

This all began with Yugoslavia. I said at the time the dismemberment of the former Yugoslav state and then of Serbia would pave the way for imperialist war after war. And so it did. And would until it was stopped. And so it now is being in Iran. #Yugoslavia #Serbia #Iran

No matter what the Brusselians demand, Hungary will maintain its system of protected fuel prices. These prices will remain available only to Hungarian families, businesses, and farmers. For us, Hungary comes first! 🇭🇺

No, it’s not “deplorable.” It’s lawful under international humanitarian law. Bridges on major bypass routes like the Karaj Northern Bypass are classic dual-use infrastructure. Iran’s military uses them for troop movements, missile transport, supply lines, and command logistics. Destroying them offers a definite military advantage. That makes them legitimate targets. The law does not protect infrastructure simply because civilians also use it. The test is military contribution, not “is it pretty or has a civilian sign on it.” Precedent: • 1991 Gulf War: Coalition bombed Iraqi bridges and power plants. Lawful. • 1999 Kosovo: NATO bombed Serbian bridges and infrastructure. Lawful. • 2022–2024 Ukraine war: Both sides hit bridges used for military logistics. No war-crime convictions for the act itself. Calling a militarily useful bridge “civilian infrastructure” is propaganda, not law. Iran itself has been hitting desalination plants, power stations, and oil facilities in the Gulf the exact same category of dual-use targets. War is ugly. But pretending every bridge is magically off-limits because civilians drive on it is how you lose wars and let regimes keep killing. The US and Israel are hitting legitimate military targets. That’s not terrorism. That’s warfare under the laws you pretend to care about.

BREAKING : THIS IS DEPLORABLE 🤮 🇺🇸US-Israeli 🇮🇱 airstrikes hit the B1 Bridge on the Karaj Northern Bypass west of Tehran. This was one of the major infrastructure projects for the people of Iran 🇮🇷 US has now started targeting civilian infrastructure that runs Iran, soon they will target food, elections and water supply. United States is the biggest terror organisation in the world.

@RoshanKrRaii It's great. More bridges and dams to hit. Iran can always surrender to stop it.

@PressSec very stupid argument - if you can put a foreigner in jail or sue them they are "subject to the jurisdiction" of the USA. The clause was inserted there only about diplomats (who are not subject to the jurisdiction of the US, e.g. can't be arrested)

@RKelanic USA is the largest oil producer in the world. It (and Trump + friends) makes a lot of $$$ with the high oil prices. Trump doesn't care shit about normal US people, he's not up for re-election, he can do whatever he wants (and does).

@RKelanic Bad comparison - there was not much to destroy in Vietnam and Afghanistan. Destroy all Iranian economy and they collapse and surrender - the proper examples are Germany and Japan. I can't believe you are a professor in political economy, so dumb.

Markets still don't get it. Prices will be up for a long time, even if the war ends tomorrow. Trump's speech signaled the war ain't ending tomorrow. Which is a huge mistake. Escalation won't make Iran back down. It'll draw the U.S. deeper and compound the war's folly. The U.S. has made this mistake before -- Vietnam, Afghanistan -- believing just a little more escalation will be what breaks the opponent's will. But Iran is fighting for its survival as a country. We aren't. Their resolve will outlast ours. How much more blood and treasure will Trump waste until he reaches that inevitable conclusion? Or will he pass it off to the next president, like Afghanistan & Vietnam? @defpriorities

As some of you are asking: Brent (physical) trading prompt delivery: >$125 a barrel WTI (paper) trading **May** futures: $112 a barrel Brent (paper) trading **June** futures: $109 a barrel (Again: WTI futures front-month is *May*; but Brent futures front-month is now *June*)

U.S. and Israel are bombing more Iranian steel industries right now. Pharmaceutical companies in Tehran were bombed too. It’s very likely that the U.S. and Israel will bomb Iranian power and energy sites as well. Their plan is probably to destroy Iranian infrastructure and the economy as much as they can, leave, and hope that the chaos will make the IRGC and the regime self‑implode. They are wrong.

Seizing Iranian islands like Kharg or Larak would be a trap -- not an exit from a foolish war. "Rather than serving as a means to rapidly conclude the war, limited ground operations risk prolonging and widening it," @tparsi and Brandon Carr write.👇 #h-conclusion" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">quincyinst.org/research/limit…

You HAVE studied history, right? Germany was BROKEN after WWI! Japan was BROKEN during WWII. What do you think the fire bombings did? Girl, all you have to do is watch Grave of the Fireflies. What was done in war cut DEEP for the CIVILIAN population. You give “expert” a bad name.

@cherylbenson In neither case did it break the civilian populace’s will. Not even firebombing Dresden.
