@signulll food. bringing good food with yourself is the best gift. flowers are nice but tbh feel shallow. food satiates the soul, bonds become stronger, you remember the taste. no wonder all our cultural events have food as an integral part.

you should never go to anyone’s house empty handed.
i personally almost always bring flowers cuz it’s the best way to have someone remember you long after you leave.
gifts get lost, beverages get consumed but a bouquet of flowers is going to at least be visible for a week or two (perhaps longer) in prime time real estate like the kitchen counter or the coffee table.

@Kpaxs woah. this is going into one of the few novice mental models in my cranium. it's been a while. slightly difficult to swallow tbh. why? because if i don't care extremely, would be it the best of its kind? but then that's that whole point? i am sitting on the high horse.

The primary bottleneck for most creative work is not skill, time or resources. It’s ego.
What I mean by that? The feeling that your work matters so much that it must be handled with extreme care.
Once you stop treating every project like it’s the Sistine Chapel, you can just… make things. Try stuff. Ship it. See what happens. Iterate.
Volume doesn’t hurt you.
Silence does.

don't get fat. no leniency there. rest, running on overclocked system for first few years before resetting is fine. don't overdo. @bryan_johnson wasn't always on the same grind, because when you're trying reach there, the system has to be slightly pushed. but in all things balance.
