Chick Fil A not only has mobile ordering, Chick Fil A has an entire dedicated lane of drive thru for mobile orders.
Aakash Gupta@aakashgupta

Let me explain exactly why In-N-Out refusing mobile ordering is the smartest fast food decision in a decade, because everyone's calling it backwards. Every major chain added mobile ordering to increase throughput. It worked. McDonald's, Starbucks, Chipotle all saw digital orders hit 30-40% of sales. Then something happened that nobody talks about: average visit frequency went up but brand loyalty went down. Mobile ordering turned food into a logistics transaction. You're not choosing Chipotle because you love Chipotle. You're choosing whichever app loads fastest while you're walking to your car. In-N-Out does $4.5 million per store. McDonald's does $2.7 million. In-N-Out does it with 15 menu items, zero franchises, no freezers, no microwaves, and now no mobile ordering. McDonald's needs 13,000+ locations to be McDonald's. In-N-Out needs 400. The line IS the product. That 20-minute wait with the smell of fresh-cut fries is doing more marketing work than any app notification ever could. Lynsi Snyder figured out something the entire QSR industry keeps forgetting: scarcity and inconvenience are features when your product is good enough. Chick-fil-A gets this too. Closed on Sundays. Everyone said it was leaving money on the table. They now do $7.5 million per store, more than any fast food chain in America, open 6 days a week. The companies winning in fast food right now are the ones saying no to things. No to franchising. No to 50-item menus. No to mobile ordering. The rest are optimizing themselves into commodities.

🇯🇵🤔 Unlike the West, the Japanese are already seeing their declining native birth rates with a sense of urgency and existential crisis. This existential sense will make them act on it so that hopefully, native birth rates can increase.

They’re tripling down on DEI in the military again. Stay frosty. We’re not out of the woods yet. The orcs are regrouping in Mordor. Merit hangs by a thread. We must ensure it’s here to stay.

When we first arrived in America, we had a truck (a bakkie), but with husband working out of town, I was left without a car. Our neighbor’s daughter had a cute little Nissan Rogue that had been standing idle for months. The gearbox was completely shot, total fodder. Her dad was about to send it off to the scrapyard for just $300. I stopped him, paid the money on the spot, and suddenly the car was mine. Everything else on it was still basically brand new. When my husband came home, I casually told him I’d ordered a gearbox on eBay and it was already waiting in the garage. 😅 He was not impressed. "eBay? Are you crazy?" The next morning he got stuck in, pulled out the old gearbox, and was about to fit the new one when the neighbor strutted over. His eyes nearly popped out when he saw car parts scattered everywhere in the garage. My husband just looked up calmly and said, “Don’t worry, if the eBay gearbox is right, by tomorrow it’ll be running.” Well, the look on that man’s face! 😅 The next evening we proudly pulled into his driveway in the now-fixed Rogue. The neighbor immediately came out with beers and camping chairs. We all sat together, cold drinks in hand, just staring at the car with big smiles. My cheeky little eBay gearbox special, the car that was almost scrapped before I saved it. 😂 I galavanted with that car like it was my most prized possession.

We bought a car! The dealer was fantastic. What a relief as the cost of Ubers is horrendous.

Mine was also headed to the scrap yard. I got it for $800 and fixed it for another $1000. She is good to go for another 300 000 miles. 😉 Yes, we Amerikaners fix stuff. 😁

Being a professional translator myself, I find it worrying that an editor or any one else working for a publisher doesn't understand the difference between "faithful" and "literal". That's a clear sign to me they can't do their jobs properly.

A 20-something kid with a cell phone camera just cut the national budget deficit by exposing hundreds of billions in fraud. Turns out we didn’t need more taxation. Only enforcement of our laws.
Nick shirley@nickshirleyy

🚨 Fraudsters literally looted $250-500 BILLION a year from taxpayers for years, now changes are being made to prevent this fraud: - Treasury is now going after the banks - Whistleblowers can make 30% for exposing fraud - Auto dealers will be tracked down END ALL THE FRAUD.

From the timeframe the General Assembly used to adopt it to the wording of the question itself, this gerrymander referendum in Virginia has been illegal and unconstitutional from the start. It should have never been allowed to take place. But no one is coming to save us. The courts won’t stop this because they’re spineless, and national Republicans have already written us off. The only way we can save our Commonwealth is for us to defeat this thing ourselves. Vote “No” between now and April 21.

🚨SOMALIFICATION OF UTAH IS RAGING ON (UPDATE) As I warned in my earlier alert.... “ALERT UTAH - YOUR RED STATE IS QUIETLY BECOMING ‘LITTLE SOMALIA’” In the heart of conservative Mormon country, a Somali Bantu Muslim community of roughly 10,000 is openly celebrating its rapid growth - admitting they’re “taking over slowly,” pocketing $5.7 MILLION in federal grants, and steering their kids toward the full Islamic “deen” with youth programs, mosques, and community events. Now the political payoff has arrived, and it’s a full-on far-left nightmare. 🚨Liban Mohamed, a 27-year-old Black Muslim born in Logan and raised in Ogden to Somali immigrant parents, just announced his run for U.S. House in Utah’s new 1st Congressional District. This is the son of that very community, and he’s running on an extreme, radical platform straight from his own campaign video and site: ⚠️Abolish ICE & End all immigration detention, open borders on steroids ⚠️ Full citizenship path for Dreamers + “pathways to legal status” for undocumented immigrants, amnesty for millions ⚠️ Medicare for All complete socialist government takeover of healthcare as a “human right,” scrap private insurance entirely ⚠️ Universal childcare so “no parent has to choose between their child and their career,” more taxpayer-funded dependency ⚠️ Housing as a “right” restrict/ban corporations and private equity from buying single-family homes while dumping massive federal spending on “permanently affordable” units and ending “unfair evictions.” ⚠️ $20 federal minimum wage (indexed to inflation) - job-killing wage mandates ⚠️ Cap CEO-to-worker pay ratios with tax penalties on companies - wealth redistribution ⚠️Pass the PRO Act + repeal all “Right-to-Work” laws to force union power ⚠️ Equality Act - nationwide woke LGBTQ+ takeover of housing, jobs, schools, bathrooms, sports, shelters, and all federally funded programs ⚠️ Overturn Citizens United to ban corporate and PAC spending, while flooding the system with leftist money ⚠️ He whines that Utahns lead the nation in charitable giving, yet “our leaders take us for granted” while pushing to socialize everything and crying about “genocide” in Gaza.... 🚨Even the LDS Church is helping fuel this takeover: They have a policy of donating $25,000 of your tithing dollars to build every new or expanding mosque in Utah, including $25,000 straight to Utah’s largest mega-mosque (the Utah Islamic Center in West Jordan). Utahns - especially Latter-day Saints - your state is being transformed from the inside while your leaders host Iftars and your own Church writes checks for mosques with your tithing money. This is demographic conquest in America’s reddest stronghold. The “Mormon state” is on track to become the “Little Somalia” of the Rockies. Demand answers. Pause the refugee flow. Protect your culture. No reciprocity. No surrender. Pay attention, Utah.

I have no love for Swalwell, but this is only happening because CA’s stupid jungle primary system saw democrats fragmented, which let 2 GOP guys lead (top 2 advance). Without a formal primary to decide who will represent the party, they resort to defamation to clear the field.
California Teachers Association@WeAreCTA

The allegations are incredibly disturbing and unacceptable against Rep. Swalwell. We are immediately suspending our support. Our elected board will be meeting as soon as possible to follow our union’s democratic process to determine next steps.
