@nfldraftscout the difference is that as long as its a number 1 pick the team has an extra year of control and that has value in its own right.

@nfldraftscout No it isn't. It's the 30th pick in the 1st round. So a 2nd. The Broncos keep their 2nd and swap 4ths. Great trade for both teams

@BenStandig Ben for your next podcast, it occurs to me that a number of teams now have multiple first round picks. Could you elighten us as to what would happen if one of them moved up for our number one pick? What would we get in return in draft picks; who would we then take?

@john_keim I smell a trade coming w Payne - he is a big salary hit, is too small to be a real NT and too big to be a DE in a 34 - I don't think he fits for 3 reasons.

Washington adds more pass rush depth. He has 23 career sacks, including 7 in 11 games in 2023 with Kansas City. He’s also spent time with Houston and San Francisco since entering the NFL as a fifth-round pick in 2019.

Weird that we never hear him mentioned here, even though he's one of AP's top draft successes 🏈 I don't see Deebo back, but he's available. So is Dyami 🏈 Guys who have produced in the past - Mooney, Kirk, Hollywood 🏈 Vets - Keenan Allen, JuJu, Hopkins, Curtis Samuel 🏈Injury dice roll - Tyreek

Not a single one of Washington's many FAs has agreed on a deal with a new team since the start of the Legal Tampering Period more than 29 hours ago (Tyler Biadasz signed with LA prior to the period and wasn't even supposed to be a FA). Says a lot about the state of the roster.

This team needed pass rush badly and they also needed to get younger. The top options for younger pass rusher in FA were Oweh and Mafe, and I preferred Oweh.
Excited to see what he can do in Jones' defensive scheme!
