Right. Let's be absolutely clear about something. I am not playing the game of Farage v Lowe. I have no interest in being part of it. It is nothing to do with me. I know both men and have spoken positively about both. I have simply said it's an unfortunate situation I hope may be resolved. I don't know the gritty details. That being said, it is clear that there is a concerted effort to manipulate sentiments online being driven by bots. I have spoken to lead industry insiders who inform me as much as 70% of interactions are likely fake accounts, hired by an entity to amplify divisions and damage Reform This is alarming as it's the future of the country at stake, and the integrity of our politics. When dirty tricks are being used, we should want to flush them out, whatever our own viewpoints. We, the voters, deserve better I'm not going to be drawn into these ridiculous battles because I know what is going on. And I think you deserve to know, too. There are a few agitators with a personal axe to grind, shouting petulantly. These people end up reflecting very badly on themselves. But a flurry of newly created anonymous accounts with barely any followers is reposting and littering threads to a remarkable degree. I've worked on foreign election campaigns and with state intelligence in various countries and can identify a dark cyber campaign when I see it. I don't know who is behind it. But it is clear someone has opened the cheque book, likely to employ bot farms in India, in order to try to take out a political adversary. It's frustrating to observe from the outside as more and more people are swallowed up in this nefarious game. This isn't some sort of propaganda for Reform. I'm a journalist, and I believe this needs to be outed. I have put the wheels in motion to expose what is happening. And I hope that soon enough, you will be able to have access to that information so that you can make an informed choice. That is all.
