⚠️ “IT MAKES NO SENSE.” @SecKennedy explains why half of states have applied for SNAP waivers — taxpayers are funding diets that contribute to diabetes among the poorest children, and then paying again to treat it through Medicaid.

Wendy’s Employee reveals how they make their popular strawberry lemonade - It starts with a huge bucket of tap water out of the sink - They then add a carton of pomade concentrate - Then they add strawberry puree from a large plastic bag One medium lemonade has 90+ grams of sugar They also use “natural flavors” and preservatives Despite marketing with “real strawberries,” it’s not fresh-made. It’s highly processed

@cmasonOC @GovPressOffice If I were in your situation I don’t think I could settle with just putting my head down and working, because the US’s starvation wages are so unacceptable But ofc, fighting late-stage capitalism is even harder than fighting undemocratic politics lmao

@GovPressOffice That just proves how ineffective Newsom is AGAIN! It took a 20-something-year-old kid to expose the fraud that all the state deployed tools couldn't.

I had someone tell me to stop paying attention to all this and put my head down and go to work. We really can't change all this, so might as well focus on family and you. I guess every 4 years taxes and policy will change, and that's just part of life now. And yet here I am posing about it. LOL🤦‍♂️

@cmasonOC @GovPressOffice yeah, man. I feel like there’s not much we can do other than just accept that we don’t actually live in democracies - I envy countries with democratic electoral systems (Proportional Representation, as opposed to our anti-democratic Winner Takes All systems)

@GovPressOffice Whoever runs this account, please don't leave. Newsom is going to need this kind of stupidity when he runs for president.

The good news is that if Newsom is the next president, he can't read or do math either, so he will fit in perfectly. LOL. You two are why social media is frustrating. You are arguing, but instead should just agree that the percentage Trump said was dumb, but the focus of drugs being down 98.33% is fantastic.

@cmasonOC @GovPressOffice no, I don’t think that (and I never made that claim, not that you said I did). the Republican Party is fucked and the Democratic Party is fucked - the only hope is to purge the Center Left that goes for my country too: the UK

Do you honestly think Dems don't lie? See Ilhan Omar if that's the case. She just had a massive lie about her net worth. I wonder why? LOL. Are you going to vote for the king of lies, Gavin Newsom, when he runs for president? Having said that, I agree with you that no politician should misreport anything just to make something look better. It's the old saying: "How do you know a politician is lying? They move their lips".

@cmasonOC @GovPressOffice We care when the percentage is misreported, because we care about lies. Well, subhuman MAGAt scum don’t care about lies — they looove being lied to and conned — but the rest of humanity does.

@TRothell62855 @tedcruz I guarantee he, or any politician, never looks at their social media. It's all run by their staff. When we post, we give them clicks and more income. I am guilty because like you, i want them to stop talking/posting and take action.

The idea of DEI is good, but the execution is not. I know many say that without it, so many talented people will not get hired, and maybe that is true. However, all you have to do is look at Kamala Harris to realize it does not work. She was not brought on because she was the most talented person for the VP role. She was brought on because Biden said, "She is a woman of color". Companies should be allowed to hire the most talented people, period. If a company only hires certain people, is that someone you would want to work for anyway? It truly sucks in today's times; we still have to deal with race, sex, and religious discrimination.

I'm a cosponsor of the Dismantle DEI Act of 2025. HR 925, @RepMichaelCloud's bill, would eliminate federal funding for DEl offices and programs, rescind related executive orders, and establish a private right of action for individuals to sue over violations of its provisions.

@WatcherGuru Depending on how they traded it, they could be in the red right now. Were there buy orders of the same amount to take profits? Not sure if this is hard evidence of anything.

Traders made a huge bet against oil prices just 15 minutes before President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the US-Iran ceasefire would be extended. LSEG data shows that 4,260 sell orders worth about $430 million hit Brent crude futures between 19:54 and 19:56 GMT, during relatively quiet trading after settlement. Brent slipped from $100.91 to $100.66 a barrel in those two minutes, then dropped much more sharply to $96.83 after Trump's announcement. This was the third big directional oil trade of the month, and the fourth overall, placed shortly before major news related to the Iran conflict. So far, similar bets in April have totaled about $2.1 billion, on top of a $500 million trade in March. US authorities are investigating several of these suspiciously well-timed oil futures trades made ahead of Trump's Iran policy announcements.
