After the war, he continued service in Germany & Texas bases , met his wife Josephine at a Victoria movie theater, & raised 10 children—now with 31 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, & 30+ great-great-grandchildren. Blocking a CBDC for 5 years is REALLY saying "Give us 5 years to build it." We need a permanent ban.

The Senate passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act without a permanent, ironclad ban on a Central Bank Digital Currency and CBDC research. What we have now is a "ban" that sunsets in 2030. This is a sneaky way of legitimizing the Federal Reserve’s efforts to develop a CBDC and essentially gives the Federal Reserve a five year on-ramp to develop and impose a surveillance state digital dollar. This 2030 "ban" is a Trojan horse disguised as protection, quietly paving the way for unconstitutional government overreach into every American's finances. This should be DOA in the House — for both the CBDC provision and the fact that the Senate has not yet passed the SAVE America Act.

Some Senators are unwilling to be inconvenienced with a talking filibuster in order to SAVE America — even as our men and women in uniform in harms way, some tragically making the ultimate sacrifice.  What are we here to do if not serve the American people?  Stop delaying, Pass the SAVE America Act.

Time for the Senate to pass Chip Roy's SAVE AMERICA ACT, get it to President Trump's desk for his signature, and protect America's elections!

This week a resolution (HR1100) came to the floor "Directing the Committee on Ethics to preserve and publicly release records of the Committee’s review of violations or alleged violations of clause 9 (as it pertains to acts of sexual harassment) and clause 18 of rule XXIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives.". The intent of this resolution is noble and one I continue to support. As a matter of fact, immediately after this vote on the floor, I was in an oversight committee and supported the passage of a very similar resolution. But there was a major difference in the two resolutions: The resolution that came to the floor called for the public release of records not just for violations but any and all "alleged violations". This is contrary to the Biblical principle found in Deuteronomy 19:15-19 (and reaffirmed in Matthew 18:15-17 and 2 Corinthians 1-2) -- from which we gleen the legal principles of burden of proof and due process. (Deteronomy 19:19 goes as far as to include penalties for false accusations.) Had the resolution not included language allowing for the public release of false allegations I would have gladly supported it. The resolution that was presented in Oversight Committee just after this floor vote DID require a burden of proof -- and I was happy to support it.

President Trump's EO banning CBDCs is not guaranteed past his time in office. We need permanent law. He said it himself in January 2025 — he's ready to sign the legislation. Now the Senate needs to deliver: include PERMANENT—not temporary—anti-CBDC language in the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.

A Central Bank Digital Currency would expose every American to unconstitutional financial surveillance. It would hand the unelected Federal Reserve unprecedented power over your money — violating your civil liberties and financial freedom. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act has language to temporarily ban a CBDC that — in the perverse way the swamp interprets things — would actually create an on ramp to research, creation, and adoption of a CBDC. This bill should be dead-on-arrival unless the Senate includes stronger, permanent language forever banning a CBDC. Thank you to the 31 Members of Congress who joined me in demanding exactly that.
