@jemelehill Maybe is the NY boost, because… Talent wise, Jaxson Dart ain’t good enough for all this attention.
We can start there
English

And no, I do not expect Jaxson Dart being pro-Trump or Abdul Carter checking his QB publicly to be an issue in the locker room. Players play alongside guys who have been accused of and committed criminal acts. They play for owners who are Trump supporters, and I’m sure most locker rooms have MAGA supporters. The average NFL career is 3-5 years. Most players care about their next check/contract, and winning. Some might be side-eyeing Dart, but guys play alongside players they don’t like all the time.

@FootballCravee So what side said they were protesting the NFL years ago 🤔

@CRELeasingLawTX Ma’am, please stop. I need for you to keep this info in-house. I’m hoping our housing market stays sensible ✌️

Fourth generation Alabamian (turned Texas transplant) here - Alabama is incredibly underrated. I went to an excellent high school with an IB program & more AP classes than one person could take. Beaches, mountains, lakes, a top 50 public university (Auburn - my alma mater. War Eagle! 🦅 🐅), top 100 public university (Alabama), a top 35 med school (UAB), a top 50 law school (Alabama), Huntsville has Boeing, NASA (including Space Camp), the Redstone Federal Arsenal, and the highest PhDs per capita in the nation. Budding food scene. College football is life! People are friendly. You can buy a house for not a ton of money. I could go on!

Say something nice about Alabama.

@ochocinco They need to stop with this grainy footage… cmon man, this game ain’t that old

@ThatFBGuyRocked @FSUFootball @Seminoles @FSU_Barstool @BSonnone @CurtMWeiler @IraSchoffel @Corey_Clark @FSU_Recruiting @SeminoleAlford @jalenramsey There have been many good WRs in CFB, if we being honest, Warrick was the best of them all

@ineedstoknow @ClintRLamb Young fella looks good out there

Isaac McNeil is an ideal fit in Wommack’s defense. Can play Mike (field) or Stinger (boundary) due to combination of range, athleticism and stopping power. Plus, experience as an edge and off-ball blitzer would help when asked to do things like Deontae Lawson in 2025. Perfect fit
Larry Rudolph@ScoutFball
A number of SEC programs including Alabama, Auburn & LSU are heavily recruiting C.F. Vigor 2027 LB Isaac McNeil. He’s one of the most complete linebackers in the country. @isaacmcn

@GrantReacts1 This is the unseasoned version… have the waiter take this back
English

@espn @SportsCenter @FirstTake @stephenasmith @RealSkipBayless ESPN…. Yall just don’t get it. I don’t know a real human who wants to watch these two
English

@TodayInSportsCo @espn it’s time to bring back the old sportscenter.
These “say something dumb for ratings” morning shows have run their course
Thank you 🙏

@CheeseHawk23 @PeterBurnsESPN I like that one. Since they’re from Bama we gotta go Pat Surtain though

Fascinating example of how social media works today… (LONG POST)
Saw a display in the BHM airport honoring the Tuskegee Airmen.
Like 99.999% of Americans, I’m Team 🇺🇸… especially over Nazis.
Posted it.
Most responses were what you’d expect likes, RTs, patriotism.
Then the algorithm shifted.
Started seeing a wave of replies saying:
“Tuskegee success was a myth. Just PR. DEI BS”
The argument?
They had fewer aerial kills than other escort groups, so therefore it was all BS.
So I paused and did a real deep dive
looked for actual historical data from the official Air Force accounts and historians.
Here’s what I found….
They were right. They did have less aerial kills the other fighter groups.
However…..
The SAME data being used to discredit them tells a completely different story if you read the whole reports.
Yes, they had fewer kills.
But here’s the data that they omitted:
Bombers lost under escort (same theater, same aircraft):
• Tuskegee Airmen: 27
• Other groups: ~49, 68, 88
That’s not spin. That’s the mission.
Escort fighters weren’t there to run up kill counts, they were there to protect bombers.
And by that measure, the 332nd was one of the most effective groups in the war.
Why did they have less aerial kills? Was it because they were less skilled?
Historians pointed out the 332nd was known for staying disciplined and stuck with the bombers while others groups tended to often peel off chasing kills.
So both things can be true:
• Fewer kills
• More bombers protected
But here’s the social media lesson:
Same report. Same data.
One side cherry-picks “lowest kills” = “they weren’t good”
But they “conveniently” left out the part where they protected bombers better than anyone.
What I observed? 2 things.
1) Most of the accounts pushing the “myth” angle? Burner accounts, fake names…,people that hid behind a vague account names
2) Setting the record straight wasn’t the goal of the “myth” posters, it was for them to get their personal beliefs off without the actual information they claimed to have used.
Anyway…
Team America 🇺🇸🫡

Everytime I fly out of Birmingham I’m reminded of one of the most bad ass quotes of all time. 🇺🇸

@cookinquack Refs were paid, that bad at their jobs, or, most likely, just “tired of Alabama” winning

No horse in this race always thought this was one of the most blatant pick plays I’ve ever seen

@davidadamcone I expect people to finally stop watching Finebaum…. Will that happen 🤷🏾♂️
English

Alabama fans, what are your expectations this season?
Jake “JBOY” Crain@JakeCrain_
“I actually don’t think most Alabama fans think DeBoer should be Saban but the standard is still VERY HIGH” -Me with @finebaum earlier today
English

Very interesting, Ty Simpson spoke on the radio with ESPN today about pre-draft process with the Rams
"We tried to keep this under wraps as long as we could, It was something to where I knew they were interested, but they wanted to make it private and didn't want people to know that they were interested.
So I had some secret meetings with Coach McVay and I just was trying to be on script and do what everybody told me and not to tell anybody."
English

@B_DiNucci6 Or maybe, just maybe,
It’s time for the public to finally stop listening to people who told them these folks were 1st round picks:
Blaine Gabbert
Zach Wilson
Trey Lance
Mitch Trubisky
English

No it doesn’t.
Maybe every QB who plays college football doesn’t have the game to translate to the next level 🤷🏻♂️
Sam Block@theblockspot
Nussmeier… Projected 1st… Went 249th. Ewers… Projected 1st… Went 231st. Fromm… Projected 1st… Went 167th. Rattler… Projected 1st… Went 150th. Howell… Projected 1st… Went 144th. CFB has a QB development problem.
English

@AdamSchefter @KyleBrandt @PSchrags People with common sense knew this.
Some folks needed a good story though 🤷🏾♂️
English

Sean McVay told @KyleBrandt and @PSchrags that he wasn’t angry Thursday night after his team used the 13th overall selection on Ty Simpson; he was trying to be respectful to NFL MVP Matthew Stafford.
English

@CourtAnne1225 It was good media nowadays.
Crazy, because if Ty went to USC, or Penn State, media would’ve applauded the pick… for some reason
