@Lfcbami3 The difference is Klopp had to rebuild and strengthen his squad, whereas Slot inherited a much stronger team-so Klopp might have won the league sooner if he’d started with that foundation. Slot does, however, deserve respect, winning the league in his first season.
English

The fact that Arne slot won the premier league title in his first season .
He must be appreciated and not being disrespected.
It took Jurgen Klopp 4 years to win one even took 2 years before Pep Guadiola to win one .
So respect the man and he doesn’t have the same level of talent he has last season.
Let’s see next season

@stehoare @KopEndFracas .....Liverpool operate differently. They can’t always replace players as easily without selling first, so maintaining strong relationships and squad cohesion is even more important.
English

@stehoare @KopEndFracas Every manager needs strong relationships with players. At City, when players leave it’s often because they’ve won everything or no longer fit Guardiola’s system, and the club can replace them a lot easier thanks to their financial backing.....
English

They didn’t all want to leave at the exact same time though, so what is this false comparison? 🤣
Ste Hoare@stehoare
I agree, it might or might not be true that he’s lost the dressing room, we don’t know, but nobody was saying Jurgen Klopp had lost the dressing room when him and Salah had a fight at West Ham, or when Mane, Hendo, Fabinho, Courinho etc all wanted to leave. I understand the frustrations with Arne Slot this season, I’ve been frustrated too but there’s enough to be frustrated by as it is without making up rather baseless theories just to have a pop at him.

@Watcher372 @CarinaKJacob Yes, current injury was caused by a terrible challenge, but before that was mentioned before
English

@composerman1982 @CarinaKJacob Van der ven careering into him with an abysmal challenge broke his leg and cause the injury. Nothing to do with anything else.
English

@saintnick1983 @CarinaKJacob I believe Newcastle tried to botch the transfer and delay it, rather than Isak going on strike
English

@composerman1982 @CarinaKJacob Iask’s pre season fitness was of his own making. He basically went on strike to force Newcastle to sell. He should have done a proper pre season training with Newcastle instead of going on strike.

@Jack_LFC_1892 @TheRealSouth25 If we sold Salah last season because of his age 33 - only 1 year younger but still having a phenomenon season, Liverpool would not have won the league. It's more to it than age
English

@composerman1982 @TheRealSouth25 Well Mo’s career has an immediate shelf life as a player doesn’t it? he’s 34 in June, whereas Slot’s career as a coach doesn’t, he’s young.
It’s just a part of life…
great players aren’t eternal
It’s less about Slot vs Salah
And more about Salah vs Age
English

My theory is that Slot wants to dismantle the Klopp core (VVD, Salah, Robbo and Allison) because they're powerful in the dressing room and then build his own team in his image. He was probably delighted to see Trent leave as well. #lfc

English

@Jack_LFC_1892 @TheRealSouth25 I’d keep @MoSalah but adjust his role - similar to how John Barnes was used later in his career, so he doesn’t have to rely as much on constant running and can focus more on positioning and creativity.
English

@Jack_LFC_1892 @TheRealSouth25 *ton not tone
After Salah standout season and Slot’s season success, there are signs of inconsistency this season - but is it justified to question Salah’s future at Liverpool more than Slot’s ?
English

@Jack_LFC_1892 @TheRealSouth25 Salah top scorer last season, and beating a tone of recordings suddenly drops off that much ? Yes, age is always a factor, but this has to do with something else.
English

@TheRealSouth25 Some theory mate, did you happen to factor in age whilst you’re there? 😂
English

@stehoare I’ve always rated Gordon - I think he’d add something valuable to the attack, but I’m not sure how well he’d fit into Slot’s system. I actually wanted him back when Klopp was in charge.
English

@TheRedmenTV Like I said last time, we made PSG look good and today they were average at best.
English

FT 🔴 0-2 (0-4) 🔵
Miles better than last week in many ways but ultimately all for nothing as the superior team by some distance over the two legs advance 😣
Thoughts? #LFC

@yakobper90 @JamesPearceLFC James lives off negative energy. It's how he powers up each day
English

@JamesPearceLFC What a strange Journalist. Even in a moment of celebration with him you still manage to make it a negative. The bloke has missed about 2 months of football with being benched or AFCON. Incredible strange.
English

@stehoare Don't worry, Ste, all will be great again as I will be bringing back our Liverpool podcast. I know how much you missed it
