@jamesbenge In any other job, if you make a mistake, you fix it at the first opportunity and try not to make it again. But now they're pairing it with consistency so if you make a bad decision, just keep making it? Just to be consistent?

Very good punditry from Danny Murphy. A lot of people saw that incident through a lens of their past experience with Arsenal. You don't improve anything by giving West Ham a goal because your fellow referees made mistakes that favoured Arsenal before.

@MichaelTimbs 100% but the league isn't decided 1 game or 1 call. The final standings are an accumulation of 38 games. If this had happened two months ago, nobody would care. It's not a bigger call today than any other week. It's a league not a cup competition, stop treating it as such.

I think the furore of the VAR decision (correctly) going our way is that it happened in a game that mattered. If we weren’t playing for anything, no one would really care because 1) it’s the correct decision and 2) it wouldn’t mean anything in the wider context of the league. But it does mean something. So people are outraged. Cool. The multiple grabs and pulls around the box going on DO happen all the time, so it’s harder to prevent. Grabbing a keepers arm to stop him from claiming a ball DOESN’T happen all the time, and does directly affect the game, so the ref basically has to punish THAT foul. I don’t think it’s that hard to comprehend.

@DaleJohnsonBBC @philmcnulty Ever thought that maybe the refs are just trying to calm down and avoid a knee jerk reaction in the heat of the moment? Maybe the decision was instant but lets just stop and breathe, talk it through, etc.

Biggest VAR call ever? Four chaotic minutes that may define the season for Arsenal and West Ham. If it takes that long, can it really be clear and obvious? That is the wrong way to look at it. With @philmcnulty. 👇 bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

This is the first season in Premier League history the title has been awarded by VAR. A new low for the league and the history of English football.

Video verdict from West Ham... the season right there. Arsenal hold on for scrappy win after VAR rules on grappling from a corner. I thought it was a foul. But the title and relegation being decided in a video room is so 25/26...

@kimmoFC Couldn't contain their obvious bias. Nolan was the same in his post match analysis, begrudgingly admitting VAR was correct - but what about Arsenal, they do this all the time - comments.

Every man and pundit agreed it was the right decision. Unbelievably unprofessional post match reporter from Sky. Running his agenda and narrative, putting words in Bowen and Nuno's mouth for reactions. Listen to the Arsenal hate in his questions.

@talkSPORT It's 100% a foul. Keeper clearly impeded. Blocking not an issue but holding onto his arm as he's trying to make the catch - foul all day long.

West Ham were denied a last-minute equaliser against Arsenal after a VAR review deemed there to be a foul on David Raya. ❌🤯 The right decision? 👀

@HLTCO It's a foul, had that decision been given two months ago nobody would care but now it's 'deciding' champions and relegation it's somehow more important a call? No it isn't. Final positions are decided over 38 games.

As many Manchester United fans have pointed out, Arsenal won at Old Trafford with a goal from a corner that wasn’t disallowed after a review and a dozen replays. And then there’s the foul from Rice that arguably started before the arm on Raya. This impacts not only the title but potentially a relegation costing north of £100m. Zero consistency, zero need. Get. Rid.

Arsenal have got very, very lucky there. It isn't an obvious error by the referee or obvious foul on David Raya, certainly not one VAR should overturn.

@markgoldbridge Two wrongs don't make a right! However there are some differences - Is the utd keeper catching the ball? Is his arm being held down? The keeper is also holding the player.

@markgoldbridge Don't be a fool. Crowding isn't impeding. Don't have to move to allow the keeper a free run at it. However you can't hold the keeper. He has one pulling his shirt and one pulling his arm down. Blatant free kick, not even a discussion. Only corruption would've been giving it
