@eternalgroyping @BasilianThought @DialloNkechi Levantine Arabs are distinct from Europeans both observationally and genetically. No different than say sumatran and tapanuli orangutans. The models and names we use to conceptualize them are man-made, but they’re derived from scientific study of existing phenomena, not fictions.

People ask me if I think transgender & transracial are “the same thing.” 🌈My short answer? They’re not — & understanding why matters. Gender & racial identities come from different roots & histories. But can conversations like this open the door to deeper empathy and awareness - instead of just more division? 💬Let’s talk — how would you answer this question? 👇🏽 #Identity #SocialConstructs #SocialAwareness #SelfAwareness

@BasilianThought @DialloNkechi Neither sex, gender nor race are social constructs. Dolezal is not a multi-racial person. She, genetically, is as White as she is female. People cant "trans" race or sex & for the same reason- both are pure dictates of DNA. As are gender roles, in animals & people alike. But,

@dimitripilled One of my writing comp profs (who also teaches lit) says he simply doesn’t teach novels anymore because he knows students won’t read it.

🇵🇸i have never heard of philosophy
The canon's probably just gonna die organically. The whole point was that these were the books that educated people read, reference, and discussed. Hard to expect even solidly educated people to read much of anything anymore.

@spandrell4 There are a few gems. Arthur Holmes’ series on the history of philosophy comes to mind. Paul Fry’s series on lit theory.

I’m sure this must be why Greene’s *The End of the Affair* and Lampedusa’s *The Leopard* are my two favorite novels…

It's funny how we haven't done this to any young conservatives, though. Only Groypers. Charlie Kirk banned all Groypers from all TPUSA events and scolded Dinesh D'Souza for beating Fuentes in a debate because it gave Fuentes, whom Charlie called "vermin," credibility.
Kai Schwemmer@KaiSchwemmer

A young conservative is made Political Director of the College Republicans. "Anti woke-right" activists: > Slander him > Ally with left-wing journalists/politicians > Attempt to get him removed > Quote mine from years back > Refuse to discuss/debate Somehow that's not woke?

I hope you guys get ready for when the Indian diaspora finally has enough institutional support to create the new AIPAC. You’re gonna be seeing nationalist hogwash like this more often, and it will be considered “woke”
Joe Rogan Recaps@JoeRoganRecaps

Joe Rogan & Priyanka Chopra on India: CHOPRA: “The British, Portuguese, Monguls, you name it they all invaded. We’ve never invaded anybody else.” ROGAN: “How many languages are spoken there?” CHOPRA: “28 to 30, but there’s HUNDREDS of dialects.”

American grilling culture is so reddit-tier reverse sear, pre season, let it rest, garnish meanwhile the greatest steak chef alive, Victor at Extebarri, tosses his steak on hot charcoal, seasons with only salt while it's on the grill, flips it once and it's done in 6 minutes

“You sound like a k*ke when you speak German...Don't butcher the German when you read it. Please and thank you very much. You're a disgrace. You're a disgrace to the white race." - Kai Schwemmer I see why the groypers chose a “chipper” LDS kid to lead their Nazi charm offensive. The off-putting approach of Fuentes only got them so far. But no matter how “nice” you are, the soul-destroying rot of the ideology can’t help but spill out.

Houellebecq’s novels often have the stench of the commissioned work. “Submission” is a prime example. Comes out just at the right time and is so rabidly Zionist it’s almost comical.
Bruno Maçães@MacaesBruno

Finally found the time to read Houellebecq’s Submission. Stylistically it’s nothing. Ideologically it’s one of those paranoid, Islamophobic screeches which have become quite common over the last decade. A waste of time

A poor workman blames his tools. What a clown Borges was. He called French "rather ugly" and said "things sound trivial when said in French". What a thing to say about the language of Rousseau, Voltaire, Chateaubriand, Michelet, Hugo, Flaubert, Zola, Proust, Camus, Malraux: able to hit every register of the human spirit, from the most intimate, the most humourous, to the most sombrely grand. Matchless for urbane sarcasm. Suave, deeply cultured, and yet capable of being utterly earthy. Silken and sonorous. English is just another language. English literature is far from being the world's best. Has English got a "Faust"? An Ibsen? A Tolstoy? A Dostoevsky? A Turgenev? A Chekhov? An Isaac Babel? A Marx? A Trotsky? All languages have great power and beauty, depending on how they are used. Borges praises English ludicrously, but dwells on hardly any English writer except a few third raters: Stevenson, Chesterton, Kipling. What did he know of English literature, really?
