@rickyfm Meh, everyone's absolutely sick of rewriting their functional and shipped code in the js ecosystem

I was going to ship a blog post today titled "We're deprecating useEffect" but the more I wrote it the less it sounded like a joke

If you like MSW and would like to help make it more sustainable, please consider nominating it at endowment.dev/funding/ Share a short feedback about how it improved your development life. Costs you nothing. Might be a game-changer for its future. Thank you ❤️

@kettanaito I have a growing vitest browser mode based test suite using MSW extensively, happy to test on betas when the time comes

All tests are passing for Node.js 22 using the new Interceptors architecture. You are not ready how huge this is.

@kettanaito Slate (mostly) works this way 2 years ago I, AI assisted, built a fully customizable internal text editor using it, pretty powerful, that said the complexity and platejs has built ontop of slate isn't ideal imo. I'm super tempted to see if I could build a tiptap version

There is no reason a rich text editor has to be coupled with a UI framework. None. It's just a state machine. It has to be headless.

I've been building with Rust and Swift/SwiftUI a lot for the last few days. Guess which one I hate more.

@burkov You think there will be tests 😂 or tests that don't just test the implementation

day 1 vibe coding: i am not impressed, super unimpressed i think i am going to reroll this experience and build the foundation myself and then start asking for small changes to an established project as opposed to creating a project from scratch. claude is in fact not a diety

@kettanaito Yeah stars have got to be bugged. My max stars on any open source project is 800 and no one stars internally but I have 5018 stars Unless it's stars that were gained on any repo I happened to contribute to which is an odd metric git-wrapped.com/profiles/Georg…

Me: Oh, wow, downloading Chromium for Playwright takes 35s. Better use a Docker image where it's pre-installed so I can shave off that time. Me, after seeing the Docker image take 35s to initialize: What a splendid day of great works that's been! *pets himself on the back*

@kettanaito In vitest MSW/browser is only one that fits with vitest/browser design of running tests in the browser. cant use page.route methods because vitest has no API right now that will allow it. what I meant by brittle, using an experimental PW API (my pr) to make things work sucks

@kettanaito Yeah, it's a shame, at least they have the experimental API that that can make it work, but that's what concerns me if they remove that API msw/browser will break again in vitest browser mode, with no good options to fix it
