@SternDrewCrypto No link exists between vaccines, including combination vaccines, and autism according to WHO reviews and large-scale studies involving millions of children; the cited McCullough Foundation report is self-published and not peer-reviewed.

I favor regime change in Iran, but I'm deeply worried that inadequate preparation will prevent that goal from being achieved. There seem to be holes in the strategy, from the lack of coordination with the opposition, to the lapse in preparing the American people ahead of the attack. npr.org/2026/03/11/nx-…

An anti-voting activist said to be part of a group pushing for President Donald Trump to take control of elections via executive order reiterated his view that the scheme is “being prepared.” democracydocket.com/news-alerts/tr…

This stuff is basically indistinguishable from nativist propaganda 100-150 years ago against the Irish, the Italians, and the Chinese. And history should remind us that there were massacres and pogroms of Chinese immigrants in the 1880s fuels by some of this rhetoric.

My daily mantra - 1) I’m a proud Zionist; 2) I’ll defend the state of Israel as passionately as I’ll defend the good old USA; 3) I oppose Trump’s illegal war against Iran; and, 4) I oppose Netanyahu. The left attacks me for 1 & 2. The right attacks me for 3 & 4. Never dull…

Someone asked what past decade seems most similar to the current one. I said the 1930s. Great progress in technology, combined with corrupt, autocratic, populist political leaders.

Not only does current evidence suggest the downward ballistic-arc droplet infection model is wrong, but a large portion of exhaled bioaerosols don't just drift laterally; they actually rise on the thermal plume of warm exhaled air and body heat, then fall back into the breathing zone as they cool. This is one of the factors that extends the infectious range of bioaerosols more than intuition might indicate.

@DavidSKrueger How big a step is it from rhetoric like this to advocating for violence against your ideological opponents?

Why are birth rates collapsing across the world? It’s not culture. It’s not biology. And it’s not that people suddenly stopped wanting kids. It’s because the path to a stable adult life has become more expensive, more uncertain, and more delayed. Housing costs have exploded. “Breadwinner jobs” have shrunk. Education takes longer and pays off less. And even when people delay having kids to get established, many never catch up. Children are the longest-term investment people make. When the expected return becomes uncertain, fewer people make it. I break down the full mechanism here from housing, to labor markets, to the “rationality trap.” freemarketsandfirepower.substack.com/p/the-fertilit…

Hopefully we're looking at Mass Customization. Mining local landfills for resources eventually . Giga factories notwithstanding, hopefully manufacturing can be massively decentralized, close to the point of use or purchase.
Luke Metro@luke_metro

The narrative for AI x manufacturing really needs to be that almost all the American jobs have already been shipped overseas so we’re replacing Chinese workers with American robots+technicians Otherwise we get … this

“'Prediction markets have come far since I first argued for them in 1988, but they could go much further,' said economist Robin Hanson, one of the early pioneers of the markets. 'They might tell voters which candidates cut unemployment, tell firms which projects lead to profits.'”
Max Raskin@maxraskin

Prediction markets are more than gambling. They're modern letters of marque like those used by Congress to seize 🇬🇧 ships during the War of 1812 I spoke to the CFTC's @MichaelSelig and @robinhanson for this piece in @washingtonpost wapo.st/4lB9znD

This is ... not at all how AI has developed. Instead, development has mostly followed the trajectory Hanson outlined: many small innovations across many teams, driven by content, supported by massive infrastructure and capex.
