@ThreatInteract Hi TI, I wanted to know if an analysis on Marathon is possible (PvP w/ BattlEye. Worst optimization in an "esports", low-end target spec game ever. It has only gotten worse in the full year it has been public, and their recent response is blaming the player for wrong settings.

0 seconds: instantly recognize the UE5 look. You can see it in the material response, edge anti-aliasing & noisy motion blur. Consumers need to demand more from studios & if the studio can't deliver; that studio needs to demand more from the billion dollar engine distributor.

@JoeyCheerio IIRC the game executable was called Project8 up until the three-lane update (February 25th, 2025)

I found the oldest clip I had lying around in storage. This dates around June 6th 2024, almost 3 months before the NDA was lifted The clip is so old the filename doesn't even refer to it as Deadlock but rather it's internal Valve name "Project8"

@_cluxter_ @garrynewman "GMod²" doesn't look as good (too left heavy). I also tried a hyphen and apostrophe with "g-mod²" and "g'mod²", but they unnecessarily break up the balance. "Gmod²" looks good but it's incorrect capitalization and doesn't do enough to separate "mod" for people unfamiliar

@hynopdyn @garrynewman That's actually quite perfect. What does it look like if you put one or two high case letters at the beginning? (as in how you spelled it in your message for example)
