Exactly! I tell them that there's no where in the Bible did Jesus Christ make conditions on who and who not to take it. Neither did he say what specifics to be used. He says "do this in rememberance of me" It is a solemn act and not a catholic only act. So I don't care.

I don't know why this is controversial. Praying the rosary DURING mass actively goes against the church's desire for everyone to actively participate in the mass, the rosary is not a part of the mass. Especially during the communion rite.

The idea that the sacraments were symbolic didn't come from Zwingli or the Reformed. It was an error that had already festered in quarters of Rome, despite the Pope's "final authority". Luther remarked on it during his infamous visit to the Vatican, prior to the Reformation.

Do you think Jesus is just making things up as He goes along? It's obviously a rephrasing in reply to Nicodemus.

@TaylorRMarshall If you read the verse before it, the main point of Peter bringing up baptism is to show how once water destroyed us (the flood), but now w/ baptism, water is used as a representation of our "good conscience toward God." He is not saying "you are only saved if you are baptized."

@HoldenCCole Those guys are in the Bible. How is it then the automatic conclusion that the papacy is biblical? There is literally no logical connection between those two things. None of those men would've recognized such a title and would in fact have rejected it.
