@pickover Oh yes! I used them at school in the early 70s, but not quite as complicated as the one shown. At home, we also had an Otis King cylindrical slide rule - in effect a curled up version of a very long slide rule that gave much better accuracy.

@kayabay @pickover I had that exact same calculator in the 70s, tho’ I can’t remember the exact years. Also had to learn how to use a slide rule in early years at secondary school (high school in US parlance), before they were made obsolete by calculators.
