@Jason @ZohranKMamdani You are so smart you must have written this under stress. Obviously you know he inherited a $12B deficit cut it to $5B and is now fixing the crisis. Hero don’t devalue yourself 🤨

They’ve blown past 50% in taxes, and they plan to go straight to 60% — and eventually to 70%. @ZohranKMamdani is a communist, and he will eventually use these emergency powers to seize your assets … all these socialist lunatics know how to do is seize assets and redistribute them. FIGHT THE POWER

Mamdani declares a “budget crisis” after four months in office as New York City’s Mayor: “We cannot close this deficit with savings alone. We need new revenue, and we need a structural reset in our relationship with the state.”

@libsoftiktok Seems like u dont like him because he is a Muslim but remember that he inherited the worst budget from the previous administration and you can't be in a budget crisis after just four months especially when you're still trying to fix the mess they left behind.

@EndWokeness “Astoria has a large Muslim community” is dropped right after describing the fire & before noting the unknown cause. This is a classic Propaganda 101 implication by omission tactic. There is one group thats particularly good at this & i wonder if Jack is related to them somehow?🤔

@sam_d_1995 Bold take: Works great if a non-muslim suggests it. But if you are Muslim? Instant crisis they’ll complain no matter what. These rats have a hate problem not a logic one. @babybeginner

@babybeginner Bold take from someone who’s never walked past a restaurant at 2am. Current trash bags already bring parking hell, smells, rats & ugliness. But contained dumpsters? No😱

Dear New Yorkers who have never seen dumpsters. Let me explain what this will do. 1. They will stink. They will get all kinds of gross liquid in them and they will stink. 24/7. Wait for the summer. That’s gonna be so charming. 2. Trash will pile up over and around them. Bc it ALWAYS does. 3. Parking way up. $$$$. I know you don’t think you care but it will cost someone more money which will be passed onto you. 4. These could easily bc homeless shelters. The trash will then be tossed on the streets. 5. Rats will find a way. It will smell like food to them at all times. It will attract them. 6. It’s going to cost a bunch of money. 7. It will be UGLY. They will be covered with all kinds of gross garbage materials. Hence the stinking mentioned earlier. The beautiful streets will be packed with these. Imagine a 100 story building. How big of a dumpster do they need? 8. Will they be moved every other day like cars? How will the street sweepers get around them? 9. And other stuff I haven’t even thought of yet.

@nypost Why the tears for billionaires paying 2% extra on their $5M+ NYC second home? Real outrage cuz a Muslim guy proposed it? NY Post’s obsession aside @NYCMayor doing better than @ericadamsfornyc & inherited their mess.

@LoisWeiss What are so many people suddenly shedding tears for the ultra wealthy who might have to pay a measly 2% extra on their $5 mil+ second home in NYC? Or is the real outrage just because a Muslim guy proposed it? @NYCMayor

And for those curious, Ken Griffen already paid $836,525 this fiscal year in property taxes for his four floors at 230 CPS. That amount will rise to at least $858,332 in July 2026, based on the same tax rate (which of course, will go up). He pays more property taxes for that apartment and uses fewer services than blocks and blocks of homes in the boroughs. Meanwhile the entire 18-unit co-op building at 740 Park paid $4,737,330 this year and is on track to pay at least $5,309,792 starting July 1, 2026.

@Jason @leddalhlwee @ZohranKMamdani Cancel all hiring over politics? Yeah, thats not how serious businesses operate. They follow incentives. If the economics work they invest. If not they leave. Its math not ideology

If I'm Ken Griffin (@leddalhlwee), I'd cancel all hiring and growth plans in NYC and immediately call out @ZohranKMamdani as the reason. Ken: "Message Received" these communist lunatics. Do it for the Union!
Sara Eisen@SaraEisen

Ken Griffin employs thousands of people in NYC and is planning to build the tallest office tower on Park Ave., investing billions more and creating thousands more jobs. (For that reason, he’s also here in NYC a lot, @NYCMayor) Meantime Miami is welcoming him and his firm, with the massive jobs, investment and tax revenue he’s bringing. Making him feel unwelcome and demonizing him seems risky. Ken left Chicago and moved Citadel hq to Miami a few years ago because of bad policy. (He also sold his penthouse there)

@SaraEisen @NYCMayor Businesses dont make decisions based on feelings they follow incentives. If Griffin is investing billions in NYC its because the upside outweighs the costs including taxes. Miami can offer lower taxes but it still doesnt match NYC’s scale, talent pool and deal flow.

@daltonleepruitt Bro you are paying 1/3 of your monthly salary on a truck? That explains why you are raging about a simple proposed 2% tax that still needs Albanys approval from the Governor & State Legislature. Maybe get your own budget in order before returning to X to enlighten everyone

@marklevinshow What else were they gonna do throw a ceasefire picnic and roast marshmallows on the launch pads? Digging out the missiles is Iran’s idea of taking a breather. We should have thought of that we could have done way better.

@nypost What are the odds that the @nypost had two headlines prewritten for the NYC mayor? If he attends the Met Gala he’s shamelessly blowing taxpayer money on fancy outfits & celeb selfies. If he skips it he’s rudely breaking a sacred NY tradition. Truly the man cant win 😂 @NYCMayor
