@megbasham Stephen Armstrong (Verse by Verse ministries) is my main Bible teacher I listen to and holds all the views you just listed. His teaching is incredible.

Can anyone recommend a Protestant podcaster who offers an apologia of our theology against Catholic theology who is a clear creationist—six days, global flood? I know there are some who do this who are local flood, symbolic creation type of people and I’m not interested in them. If it’s someone, for example, who would promote Biologos and Francis Collins or work with Biologos, I don’t want that guy. Is there anyone like this?

Production out of the 2-hole is such a crazy concept. When’s the last time we’ve seen that in Cleveland? Vizquel?

@NYCMayor Mayor, are you willing to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Happy Resurrection Day to you!

Happy Easter, New York! Today, millions of New Yorkers celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the victory of hope over despair and faith over fear.  As the air warms and cherry blossoms begin to bloom, this holy day is a sacred time to pause and reflect on a season of rebirth. Whether you spend this day singing in pews, parading on Fifth Avenue, joining a processional guided by the bamboo trumpets of Haitian Rara music, or hunting for painted eggs amidst the spring grass, I wish every New Yorker celebrating a joyous day. Let us all embrace this holiday's spirit of hope and renewal as we build the City — and the world — that we deserve.

I really don’t like hearing non-Christians talk about Easter as if it’s some abstract allegory. It’d be better not to talk about it at all. Good Friday isn’t about sacrifice. It’s about Jesus’s sacrifice. God-made-flesh shed his blood on the cross for our sins, so that by grace through faith we could be forgiven and reconciled to God. Acts 4:12: “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani@NYCMayor

Today, on Good Friday, we mark a day of sacrifice. Some New Yorkers will abstain from eating; others will spend hours without speaking. Faith, the Bible tells us, is belief in the things unseen. That belief is what will guide so many of our neighbors in solemn reflection and reverence. I wish all those observing Good Friday a blessed day of peace.

I'm telling you, man, if DeLauter can just stay healthy, he can be the RF we were hoping someone else could be before injury, who's name I don't want to write as many are still sensitive toward him even though he was pretty solid.

The additions of DeLauter and Hoskins look to be enough improvement to not finish dead last in runs this year. But we really need a solution up the middle that doesn’t involve Schneemann/Arias/Rocchio being everyday players.

Did AI build out the schedule for MLB Opening Day? Sending the Guardians out to Seattle for a 10 pm EST first pitch is an interesting choice.

@jaysonst Having the WBC mid season will destroy participation. It’s great where it is. Rested players eager to compete and it fills a void between the Super Bowl & March Madness.

Tell me this WBC idea - which I pitched in my column today - wouldn't be the greatest week of baseball of all time.

@SportsBoyTony At the end of the day, QB play is what moves the needle on the scoreboard and is what draws people to the TV. 8 of 9 SB’s from 2016-2024 featured Mahomes and/or Brady.

Funny thing about “deep playoff runs” is it used to only take good teams w byes 1 win to get to a conference championship game. So is that a “deep run?” But you’re only thinking of QBs but extrapolating to other positions, there are so many awesome dudes that don’t sniff SB runs for entire careers

I’m ok with the NBA regular season being irrelevant to many (NOT TO ME!!), because it makes up for it with the Post Season Buffet Of Awesomeness™️. Roughly 90 games played on 50 nights is just exponentially better than NFL and MLB. (47 games on 27 days/13 games 7 days) But the point that everyone misses and drives it home: THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE NBA PLAY IN THE BIGGEST GAMES EVERY YEAR. Can you give me the Myles Garrett/TJ Watt playoff moments? The Marino SB highlights? Mike Trout’s 1 playoff homerun!!?!?? Bonds’ one World Series appearance. We have 63 Finals games for LeBron. 55 for LeBron. 50 for Magic. 37 for Kobe. 35 for MJ. There’s just no comparison

@jaysonst The difference is historically well run franchises like Cleveland and Tampa have to rely on short contention windows before richer teams price them out of their stars on the FA market. The Chiefs and Bills never have to worry about LA/NY teams poaching their QB’s.

Are we sure the Browns with their D couldn’t go toe to toe with either of these teams by adding Mac Jones and one half decent WR?

Firing Kevin Stefanski truly doesn't make any sense now. The Browns clearly overestimated the attractiveness of this job. Nobody cares that you found a nice tight end and linebacker in the draft. All they care about is the quarterback.

Very niche complaint but I hate that the conference championship game start at 3:00 and 6:30. Start them at the times games was starting the regular season! Give me a 4:25 and 8:15
