25 years ago yesterday I earned my commission as a Naval Officer! One of the proudest moments of my life. Going from a high school grad with no degree to this was the pinnacle of my career and proof you can accomplish anything you set your mind to!

I’ve been dealing with skin cancer, off and on, since coming home from Iraq in 2010. Not the fairly safe kind, but the metastasizing kind. I go tomorrow morning to have 2 more lumps removed. I don’t talk about it much, because people have it way worse than I do. I am truly blessed. I’m not in fear for my life, because I’ve been good at staying on top of it, but it has been a thorn in my side for 16 years. I shouldn’t let it, but it completely destroys my self confidence. In public, I think it’s all people can see when they look at me. Especially since I’ve sobered up, I want to start actually living my life again, instead of just surviving it. There’s even a girl I want to ask out. I always pray that the next time is the last time I have to see the dermatologist. It may seem trivial to you, but it’s a big deal to me. So, again, I pray that tomorrow is the last time.

Goooooood Morning Patriots 🌞 Today is a day I've been looking forward to for a year and a half. I am finally at the beginning of the end of a situation that was foisted on me & I'm feeling rather strong & powerful & optimistic. If you have one, say an extra prayer for me that truth & morality will win out over darkness & honestly...evil. Coffee is hot, prayers are said & even through all this ugliness, my blessings are abundant & I have said my thanks to God for them. Y'all have an absolutely blessed day.

Goooooood Morning Patriots 🌞 Another glorious day in the Panhandle before we're plunged back into the 30's. We're going from sunburn weather right back into winter for a few days. Well played mother nature, well played. Anywho, some of y'all know I ran a rescue for years & some memories popped up...this is one of my favorite. Sugar (the horse) was brought to me an emaciated mess after the sheriffs dept seized her & Sparky saved himself by jumping from a transport truck...it always amazed me how the different critters lived in harmony after arriving here...like they knew they were safe. Some days I miss the rescue work terribly. Tragically, Sugar got struck by lightning a few years ago & Sparky passed from what the vet thought was probably pneumonia. Prayers said, coffee hot, blessings counted & I'm off retailing & Realtoring today. Be blessed y'all
