My ex-manager couldn’t handle the work or her team. Being a narcissistic bully was the only thing she could do.

They act kind and caring but underneath they’re anything but. They’re cruel and take great delight in seeing you hurt and struggling.

03:00, 1 Feb 2025, my father had such chest pain he woke the patient sharing his room. He alerted the ward sister, who said she’d call a doctor. They never tended to my dad. He heard my dad stop breathing. 05:30 a doctor arrived and pulled the sheet over my dad’s face… 🤬😭😭😭

I was just phoned awake to hear my father passed away. This doesn’t feel real. He was in hospital, but doing better every day. I was still planning on flying him down for my birthday. This doesn’t feel real.

So true. Tell everyone you’re sold out for Christ but every day a small group of people get to see you are mean and spiteful, rude af and sooo condescending, and very full of yourself. And you treat those people like dirt but no one else sees it as you are always nice to them.

@kitzluvs @RoryPetzer My dad only tips cash to ensure the waiter gets all his/her money there and then. Some restaurants it’s end of month, some deduct the card fee from the tips, and some share the tips amongst all the staff. And apparently some keep the tips.

It’s not just Babel and it’s not only in 2024. About 20 years ago I worked at a restaurant in Gqeberha. They used to force the waiters to either clean all the windows OR each pay R60 to have them cleaned by cleaning company. Also, a ‘breakages’ fee was normal. Cleaning, mopping, scrubbing all par for the course. No hourly wage. Just 3% commission. Sometimes we left there with less money than what we arrived with. 😭💔
