@marcba I'd pick 2. The opportunities in 1 sounds like is driven by company needs. With 2, I'd be spending more time on working on something that is more interesting to me.

@shady_inf0 I don't it get... Why is the number of "news sources" in the search results a measure of how "good" a search engine is? I'm not always looking for something from the news when I'm searching...

This is a surprise to me. Years ago I worked for an outsourced company working on google's search engine rating urls, videos, etc. As long as the search query was relevant, we were told to push results from more trusted websites higher in rank.

If google removes it's search engine from Australia (Not sure it will tbh) what are the alternatives? Monash University finds Bing & Ecosia deliver more professionally produced news in the top 50 results compared with Google theguardian.com/technology/202…
