@trundlingjenny @ChasingGlimmers A small car or a van type wouldn’t be suitable for me & my wheelchair, I need a car with a big boot but not a van. I also need it low enough to get into & enough space to lift my wheelchair over myself when I’m on my own. We are not a one size fits all. Stop the ignorance.

@ChasingGlimmers If you must have one there should be no choice of cars either a small one or the van type & only the person that needs it not the whole family

The changes to the Motability mileage cap mean that those of us who transport our children ourselves, to specialist provisions out of area, will now likely exceed the limit. 10,000 miles per year is not compatible with disabled lives. Motability is no longer fit for purpose.

@kezza1235 There shouldn’t be an app. The cars should have Motabilty written on both front doors so taxpayers can see the great value they get for their money and how the cars help disabled people to work, etc @UKLabour

@ThePIPDevil I’m not a Karen we have every right to be concerned & it looks like it will be shut down before it’s even up & running anyway judging by other comments I’ve seen. It’s just as bad as that max tempers and the stupid app to spot Motability cars which put targets on us. Are you him?

I was born with quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, which is very much real. And in any case you didn't address the fundamental problem. There are not enough jobs for everyone. As I keep saying, there aren't even enough jobs for everybody who is fit for work.

This is incredibly sad. At first I was sympathetic then I read they had to be propped/positioned by caretakers to have sex....and she couldn't carry the baby to term due to risk of losing her own life. Now Im like "WTF?!" They chose to create a child that will suffer for life? A child they can't care for themselves? That's low key selfish, but the medical professionals who allowed this were highly negligent. Every child is a blessing, I guess.

@zubaidah_x It’s their business, as someone with Spina Bifida & paralysed with other issues, there’s a slim chance any child I had could get it. Don’t judge on things that have absolutely nothing to do with you.

People are born healthy and become disabled. Accidents happen. It’s one thing to not know the risks but knowing the health struggles you face yourself and still going ahead to bring a child into the world KNOWING they won’t be spared from them is something.

instead of harassing disabled people that have kids, i think we should advocate for a more conducive and accommodating society for disabled kids.

@AliArthPainter @LucasAlan94 Yeah I have hobbies etc but no relationship unfortunately. I was in a relationship though, but it ended 4 years ago & I’ve struggled to move on from it.

People argue that disabled children shouldn't be born because they will suffer. You know what you could do to remove their suffering? Create a more accessible society and actively confront ableism.
