KAT has actively said he would take a pay cut. Who knows if that actually happens, but I think it’s promising. After winning in NYK, endorsements will definitely stack up and pay well, so a pay cut might not affect his total overall pay by much compared to what it was before the chip. Brunson, KAT, OG, and Hart are all signed to the same agency, which is also the agency that Leon rose worked for before becoming the GM. There could maybe be some inner workings going on to make sure the core can stay together

I think KAT will take a Brunson-like paycut and sign an early hometown extension, even a short one, into his mid-30s as the Knicks starting center. This will allow the team to sign and resign more players beginning now.

roughly $19,523,054 to work with under the apron & six roster spots to still re-sign This is me potentially undercutting, but let's be generous and say Shamet takes $9M annually for two seasons, that leaves the Knicks with enough $$ to sign one 2nd round minimum & four vet mins.

So let’s say the Knicks have their starting five back + Deuce ($3.96M), Dadiet ($2.98M), Kolek ($2.29M) & Alvarado opts into his $4.5M option. That leaves the Knicks at roughly $16,539,374 below the second apron with five spots they still need to fill to meet the 14-man minimum.
