Among allies, issues are best resolved through discussion, not through pressure. Strengthening Arctic security together with allies is very important for Finland. This is also the purpose of the Danish-led and allied-coordinated action in Greenland. European countries stand united. We emphasize the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty. We support Denmark and Greenland. Dialogue with the United States continues. Tariffs would undermine the transatlantic relationship and risk a dangerous downward spiral.

A year after Hamas' shocking attack on Israel there's a risk of escalation in the Middle East. The hostages must be released and access to humanitarian aid ensured. An immediate ceasefire is needed. In the longer term, the conflict must be resolved in a sustainable manner. International law holds the key to a solution that would keep both Palestinians and Israelis safe. We must find a solution. There are no more excuses.

Today in Türkiye for an official visit. In the afternoon I will meet President @RTErdogan in Ankara. I will discuss also with the Speaker of the Parliament Numan Kurtulmuş. The visit began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk Mausoleum. The programme also includes a speech at the Martti Ahtisaari Legacy Seminar and the book launch on the history of the Tatar community in Finland.
