200 years from now, people are going to be writing PhDs about the social and economic forces that led to a railway being built that looked like this.

@bothness @jduropt I Refere to "English local authorities decide to redraw their boundaries" - this is rare. There are occasions where unitaries are formed and that does change wards, the change depends on central gov and doesn't happen very often. The statement is slightly misleading. Nice tool

@bothness @jduropt Just to clarify local authorities don't change their boundaries it is the Boundary Commission who decides when and what is done.

@undertheraedar @Al__S All district councils, unitary and London Boroughs are planning authorities. County councils are also planning authorities but in a limited way.
